 It all happened rather suddenly with superpowered blasts happening all around. And when the Matriorb was hopesploded Kanaya reached a level of rage Karkat was not built up for dishing out at the moment due to his calmer nature in the last flash, so she was able to leap in first.

 Or he's making sure his buddy Sollux is alright.

Eridan is the only character in the room currently who could die without it upsetting the story. Although I hope that doesn't happen.

If Kanaya talking to Jade later is true, then a reset is assured.  Assuming that little time has passed since the last conversation, she hasn't had time to use that password.  That doesn't assure she survives to use it, but it give some hope.

 Wait, fuck. I just realized. Kanaya was shot through the stomach where the others were hit through the chest. Where normally a human womb would be.

 Also, troll romance is based on hate, and he is the public enemy number one right now. We are all in his hate-harem. He is getting an overwhelming amount of romantic emotions form the fanbase right now.

Some sick bastards proposed character bingo. Curiosity got to me, so I filled it out as best I could. I would need an extra dimension to account in sprite resurrections and some of the special cases.

I was just reading the updates thread on MSPAchan, and someone pointed out that Doc Scratch was trying to contact Kanaya before all of this happened, right after we found out the connection she had to him.  He was probably trying to warn her.
