Those arent excessive eyebrows.

Those are just animated eyebrows.
How can an avatar fad not be excessive?

I guess the Midnight Crew are darkness dwellers then.

Anyone else suspecting a PS style transformation of the Deck of Cards?

Note how his inventory is an inverse of the ones seen in PS. Lots of weapon slots, but only a single item one.

And how the four of spades is apparently a weapon.

I am suddenly reminded of the beginning of the animation that last featured the Crew, the part where the cards turn into weapons.

I am reminded of my tendancy to forget scenes until someone else mentions them, at which point it all comes flooding back to me.

I hope that it is somehow strangely relevant to the main plot.

I'm thinking the MC intermission will go on for two weeks, max. It'll be a fun change of pace. Plus try not to be altogether floored if it turns out what's going on here isn't completely unrelated to the events in the HS universe. Though maybe you were suspecting that already.

Oh, right, I see.

His deck of cards is his collection of weapons.

Am I right in thinking that all of SS's weapons so far have been melee and sharp edged?  What did he draw in the previous scene?  Perhaps each suit of cards have a different type of weapon.
