This'll probably end up with pets trapped in plastic but imagine for a moment if it didn't.

The imps would be fucked.

All I know is I'd wind up with a sprite-sized zombie cockroach wearing the Cobra mask.  Hells yeah.  An echidna pugilist would be cool and all, but I think Cobra might have the edge on necessary wits.

Oh... oh Jesus.

Strider's won't be Lil Cal crossed with a raven, will it? I'm not sure I could take that.

Well, it's long since established that the shanked crow is Dave's first prototyping.  Whether Lil' Cal could make the second I don't know, since he got dashed apart.  The prototype seems to reflect that, since the Nannaquin (and it's initial form) had one hand and eye, after the original doll got chopped up.  I don't know what else Dave could use, handily anyway, except some other probably lewd puppet.  I hope it's not the Saw head.

Imagine if he somehow managed to prototype Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff... oh, man.

On the topic of prototypings, I have an Dr. Wily papier maché bust around here, that would certainly be a very interesting experience as a kernelsprite. I dunno what else though...

God... looking around at what vaguely biological things are immediately accessible for sprite archetyping, I think I'm stuck with a creepy Monkeys-Wearing-Fezes clock, and a Taxidermied Snarling Weasel. That, or my roommate's recently departed Beta Fish.

Some sort of Time-Beta Fish with a Fez and Vest would be pretty awesome though.

I hereby conclude that Homestuck is possibly one of the most epic things that has come from the internet...

Seven? I count ten, one of which is (not quite) clearly the Skaia logo.

Hmph.

Squatting frog
Frog head
Double-lotus
Single-lotus
Crested left alligator
Crested right alligator
Smooth left alligator
Smooth right alligator
Skaia logo
Turtle

Clearly, the mirror-reflections of right-left alligators serve only to provide balance and symmetry to the script of the Andrewvians.  The Andrewvian tribe has been noted to preserve symmetry to a fault, which results in massive losses of efficiency.  The two are the same character, with the crest serving to indicate the voiced version of the smooth alligator.

Thus... there's 7.  I was right.
could easily argue that the pair is one symbol (together), leading to 5.

Alright, so here is how I figure prototyping:

 1. Something that bothers the protagonist that their guardian forces upon them. John is harlequins, Rose is princesses(Princess doll), Dave is puppets(Most likely Lil' Cal) and I'm assuming Jade will get that giant stuffed worm thing she detested.
 2. Something dead. Johns Nana, Roses Jasper, Daves crow(Kinda random, but it is a dead thing) and more than likely something stuffed for Jade, possibly her grandfather.

It also seems the first object(The detested thing) is in some way modified or mangled by the protagonist.

Looking around, the only things that meet that criteria is some motivational books(More than likely Do Hard Things) and some large dead spiders. Although it could mix the garden and something, the garden being a wildcard as it is both dead and forced upon me.

Hm... I guess that in my house, the forced thing would be my father's irritating-as-hell temple gong.  The dead thing would probably have to be my grandfather's ashes.

...

Lutheran minister + Japanese temple gong?  Weird combo.

The wiki says it doesn't necessarily need to be the detested thing to get mangled. take the crow for example. I wouldn't say dave detested that. A lot less than puppets anyway, but that got mangled.  the wiki says it just has to be a chronic injury, but even that is thrown into the realm of doubt because of Rose's sprite which doesn't seem to be injured at all. Maybe the "Modifications" Rose made to the princess doll count?

Lil' Cal is mangled, not the crow. The crow is just the dead thing.

Dave actually shares a compassion for animals.

He was horrified when he impaled the crow with his katana.

Lil' Cal is mangled, not the crow. The crow is just the dead thing.
Most people count having a freaking katana lodged in your chest as mangled.
