It probably has a connection to Grandpa, given that when Tavros first communes with Bec, Jade was wearing a SkaiaNet shirt, and why else would she be wearing one? (Don't answer that. Damn you Hussie and your possible misdirection) It is heavily implied that Mom is connected to it as well, given that she has a button that opens a secret entrance from the mausoleum to the SN lab, and who in their right mind would give a stranger that kind of access?

I don't think so. The spirograph was on the lab, but I don't remember any other Skaian symbolism.

You know when Rose entered the Skaianet labs or wherever that place was, it was already empty. I guess you could take that as Grandpa and other such characters having connections to it because they weren't there... plus it was near Rose's house SECRETLY STORED UNDER CAT'S GRAVESITE. When she kicked off the grave it seemed like she knew about it all along which potentially means at least some of the main and/or side characters were responsible for a delicious, healthy 80% of your daily apocalypse.

I don't know that the lab had any obvious connection or Skaian symbolism but wasn't it stated somewhere that it was responsible for the creation of the discs? I'll see if I can find the link later.

The building had the spirograph on it, that much I remember. I'll try to find an image (IIRC it was shown in WV: Ascend) See second edit. Also:

Oh hey, the atom logo. A possible connection to Grandpa.

Also, the lab had a display set up that tracked sessions and cross-referenced them with meteor impacts, indicating a connection to Sburb.

EDIT: Yes, captured the image first try. Cropping and uploading now.

Yeah, there it is. Good job on that.

I think Hussie is a madman for being able to keep such a thick-as-blood continuity and yet reference all his own references from two thousand pages ago that referenced things earlier in that comic that were alluding to what would be happening three thousand eight hundred and ten pages later.

Oh!

It is so obvious!

Jade's grandfather and Jade's grandson are the same person!
The only reason he said he was her grandson instead of her grandpa was because it would only confuse her,
and maybe even make her go insane.

It doesn't help that she knows he is dead.

And another theory:
What if the stuffed grandpa is only a dream self?
I mean he isn't wearing any fancy stuff, but maybe it is all a ploy.
Real alpha Grandpa might not be the one who is stuffed.

EDIT:

And now I'm suddenly seeing a strong resemblance between John and Grandpa Harley.

There are only four towers total (two on each planet's moon), thus only four dreamselves, one for each of the four players.

Maybe Grandpa is one of the four players.

Maybe grandpa took his submarine/battle cruiser and blew up one of the towers.

John and Grandpa have a resemblance because of all that weird ecto-biology stuff making them partially related.

HOLY CRAP. JOHN IS GRANDPA.

Dave's Weird Time Shit powers would be enough to do it, provided he could take others with him.

The Grandpa from the ectobiology session is on the meteor that hits John's house, and eventually manages to contact Jade, believing her to be his grandmother. If only he knew...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
