Karkat is a lot less rage-y than usual right now, kind of strange fascinating.

In the beautiful process of classic troll logic, Karkat actually is wrong, and Jade is being duped.  The sprite is not her; it's partly her, and not that big a part.  It talks like her, but it's the dreaming side of herself, which as has been demonstrated before, is overly emotional and dumb as a sack of hammers.  She's also part kernel and part goddog.  So she's not going to have Jade's exact same personality, she's going to be fixated on her own emotions with no sense of ration.

I used to think Contemplative Karkat was the most interesting character, but he's getting a little creepy here as Psychologist Karkat.  Dude, focus on saving the universe before you worry about getting her to like you.

Still, you have to give him credit that he just completely out-logicked Jade without even resorting to yelling. Like it or not he really played his cards right here.

EDIT: Hmm, Karkat's referral to future Jade, and Dave talking about how Future Jade was crazy makes me wonder... I wonder if she's in a relationship with Karkat or something? By Dave's standards (and hatred of Karkat) that'd be a lot crazier than anything Rose could ever do, and it'd probably make present Jade cry.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

I lumped Karkat in the same place as John: Not stupid, just foolish. For once he got over himself a bit to get past that weakness. A little a bit.

It was suggested that Rose was nudging John to read more, seeing some intelligence in him and trying to nurture it. So yeah, I dig that theme.

I must admit, Frost was a lot longer than I remember it being. It was cool though. Though Umbral Ultimatum is still really awesome.

First impression of Volume 6: Frost is pretty awesome. It makes me think of the Steam Punk genre as a song. I dunno why. But it does.

I'm currently making a nice room for my legendary clerk. I always treat my legendaries with the greatest respect, giving them the best rooms and so on. Although the walls are mostly engraved with pictures of my miner starving to death after he fell down a well, so it's not too cheerful.

Is it me or did Volume 6 have a more... Oriental theme to it?

It's Courser and Umbral Ultimatum. Shred that koto!

Those are the only songs that have oriental elements within them.
