IDE/THEORY: Karkat wakes up on the Battlefield, sees in the clouds everything he needs to do, then gets captured by Lord English, wakes up, and never wants to go back to sleep again.

I'm not sure anyone could make a good case for Tavros being a douche. At all.  Maybe if you were pretty damn mean you could call him a loser or a cry-baby, but not a douche.
