((I think you're crazy for trying to take enough people through a probably-dangerous temporal anomaly to have a sufficiently large genepool for humanity to survive indefinitely. Remember, the scout hasn't even returned yet. Crazy DF players.))

(I think a lot of people would be willing to risk coming, because if they live, they won't be ruled by president nutcase)

Once tried to conquer Earth, and succeeded! Too bad it got really, really boring, really, really fast.

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

I think I shall wish to join... As a mighty research conglomerate! And we shall research for great justice... (and winning the game, yes?)

((Honestly, just on the side, this game becomes ridiculously easy at most difficulty levels if you pimp out your labs and get ahead of the competition, especially when your high-tier spacedocks make stuff really fastness! Ooh, and we should build a friggin Dyson Sphere at some point. Or at least a ring world!))
((Oh yeah, and planet specialization is cool too, once you get the planet and system buffing structures :) ))

I miss being able to build planets from scratch, in SE5 building a sphereworld usually means losing two or three planets, the production you lose from lost spaceyards isn't really made up for by the large population bonus, and if you haven't won or lost the game by the time you have finned out its resource gathering the something is probably wrong. Basically they seem to be pure ego stuffing...

But, to be fair, I have never actually played against other humans, so I wouldn't know. Speaking of which, how many people here have SE5? We could try to get an RP game going...

Vote (1) for the Urist scale!
I shall be eternally happy. I shall be able to construct elf hunting giant mecha. Which can pour magma.
Urist has been forced to use a friend as fertilizer lately.

I have SE5, and I'm pretty sure I still remember how to play it. Fighters ftw.

Guess I should find the box, reinstall, and patch it.

I think the date is 202.6ish, now.

Prowler company sent it’s forces over to the planet of Astar. On Astar, they discovered a cell of Cocytus operatives attempting to blow up the mining facility. Thanks to a swift joint strike from both companies, the blow was averted and the sons of Cocytus were publicly executed by Prowler enforcers. The strike was conducted by dropping cables from the flagship in low orbit and having each enforcer and his 200 pounds of power armor slide down at incredible speeds, leaving a small crater where they landed. This incredibly intimidating entrance style has drawn some comments for the damage to civilian structures. However, nobody was harmed and the RC extractions company paid for all damages and insurance claims. This did not even dent the company pocket-book. RC Extraction profits have leveled out, and they are now the wealthiest company in the entire empire. This is due to Uralosric starliner, making transportation cheap, if slow. The ship goes back and forth from the moon outpost to Astar, taking three months per trip.

Meanwhile, Eggersdorf Bei Graz has finished the secret colony ship. It took much longer than normal because all materials had to be shipped in secretly, and all personnel had to disappear quietly, one at a time. Now, it just needs a captain to step forward. Also, upgrading the facilities of Beii city and the surrounding environment. Already, three mining facilities have been retrofitted to full efficiency.

Jahannam has almost completed it’s facilities, with only three to five months of construction left. The massive series of laboratories will be free for use from corporations and independent use by an individual. Eventually, it is hoped that a large network mainframe could connect all these facilities much better than a simple internet system, so that research speeds could be increased by a factor of up to 30%.

Well this is kind of akward. I though you lost interest and I've been running the sons of Coyctus on AI...er, sort of. If you're really interested in running the S.O.C., then let me know through PMs. But don't scream to the world that you want to hijack it. Otherwise, people would suspect. :P I'll PM you a full status report on your "Empire" such as it is.
