What is your role in this game?

Edit: how about a deal? If there is only one moon left, if you let me have it I will offer protection.

CEO of RC extraction. the one who gave a speech about fuel crisis and the resources of space on page 2 or 3.

edit : i usually speak through glacies, probably that is why you didn't know who i was.

Well, there are two moons left. One is planned to be a research outpost controlled by Empier Enterprises Enc., and the other is the hopefull expansion of RC extraction co. It wouldn't cause much of a scandal if Prowler grabbed the research outpost planet, but if they swiped the planet that might fix the fuel crisis from RC, well, er.

More time passes. RC Extraction finishes the colony ship bound for the little radioactive moon, while Governor Toonyman builds four lion centurions to keep the peace on Eggersdorf. The law on children minimums is repealed, and a nervous calm has descended on the planet. Talks of upgrading the mining facilities on the planet are underway.

The colony ship lands without a hitch and the radioactives plant is completed in four weeks. The fuel crisis is over. RC extraction executives are praised for their charity and selflessness, and four safehouses belonging to the sons of Cocytus are captured and destroyed by the government on Eggersdorf when reported by disillusioned citizens. Fuel flows freely once again.

Construction on Nirur Torir shipyards has begun. It is known at this time that there is some sort of proto-type government ship to be used in the blue zone. Government officials confirm this, but also issued a reminder that the blue zone is unsafe and prone to fluctuating levels of radiation.

Prowler company is building a prowler, which should be done in three months. The ship will probably be used to patrol the moon and keep the sons of Cocytus from trying anything on the moon. Since the company refused to collaborate with these rebels, they have been targeting the company with increasing frequency. 12 people have died as a result of Cocytus action.

Lastly, Martin Empier has founded a researching outpost on the second moon of Jahannam. Construction has just finished and the first scientific projects are due to begin soon. While rumors that some of the scientists have mental issues that make them dangers to themselves and everyone around them, it is widely agreed the research team is brilliant and that no harm should come of them.

Interested in joining the crew of a Big Boskii, in the interests of a “pleasure cruise”? Infamy, plunder and excitement aplenty. PM if interested. More than one party welcome. If you are affiliated with the sons of Cocytus, you need not apply.

Well, every rock planet in the system is now settled. Now it’s time to settle in, relax, do some research, and maybe break some laws. Hehehe.

If I may be allowed to join-in :

Istrian Masc, CEO and main researcher of MaSc's Labs (Mad Scientist's Labs) is pushing forward his pet project. He asks that an entire solar system be dedicated to research laboratories. Of course the research will be done for the good of the Empire, or so he claims.

The research laboratory is ready to fund their own spaceships if the government will provide the planet, the skilled scientists, as well as the space-stations to watch over all entry points to the research solar system. An honorable deal which will certainly profit the government, given enough time.

You should be able to join, but dedicating an entire solar system to nothing but research is stupid unless there're no resource-rich planets at all.

I know it might seem silly, but usually when I played SE5, I didn't have problems getting resources (after a while I just had too much of them, but then I loved to go for the solar generators, and ternary systems). But yes, for now it might seem to be an expensive and stupid project, we are not called Mad Scientist Labs for nothing  ::).

I want to captain an exploration ship with 1 unit of the heaviest armour available(presumably none...), 1 long range sensor, maximum engines, and as much fuel as possible(preferably solar panels).

I usually play with organic and temporal tech and really love organic ramming ships...

Vote (1) for the Urist scale!
I shall be eternally happy. I shall be able to construct elf hunting giant mecha. Which can pour magma.
Urist has been forced to use a friend as fertilizer lately.

Well, on that note. Guys. There is no way you can get to other systems. I havnae declared open season on traveling through warp-points yet. I will soon, but not yet! You’ll have to be patient for a little while longer, I’m afraid. But you’ll get a middle of the road frigate somewhere along the line, probably soon-ish.

Plot-wise, I can certainly use this…except it’s unlikely that you’ll get an entire system. Besides, the logistics of traveling…yeah, yeah, I know, stop dicking around with plot and get to the game play mechanics. Spoilsports. :( But Government involvement with outside of system colonies is going to be virtually non-existent. Now would be a good time to join up as pirates, as silly as the concept is.

How does being the brilliant protégé of Martin Empier sound? You’ll break off from your mentor and take a number of scientists with you to whatever project is next.
