The year 2401.5, apparently. The year is ten months, to boot. Anyhoo, I'm gonna start writing that update. Hold onto your helmets.

The date is 2401.8

Nirur Torir Shipyards finishes it’s mysterious construction and sails out to the blue zone, with Nirur Torir as the captain. Unearthed documents leaked from the Jahannam intelligence agency reveal details about the construction of this ship. Namely, that it is designed to travel through “Warp points.” This indicates the blue storm is probably an entrance into some alternate dimension, or perhaps to another solar system. The ship was last seen entering the blue zone, and then dropped off scanner sight. Some theorize the captain is dead, but government officials declined to make a statement.

Prowler company finished construction on the first “Prowler” ship today. Unfortunately, the captain and several crew members were killed in a bomb explosion planned by the sons of Cocytus. Launch has been delayed by at least a month. Also, a new prototype of depleted uranium cannon has been completed by the company, and is deemed 20% more efficient then the previous model.

RC extractions Uralosric starliner is now in use to haul materials back and forth from their headquarters to the extraction moon. These round trip voyages take six months, three one way and three back, and the captain has complained about the quality of the ship. However, RC PR has announced the ship functions “Adequately.” Honest Boskii suggested this reporter should buy a “Big Boskii.”, and so should all my friends.

Bad news for Martin Empier and his research team. Istrian Masc and several researchers have splintered off from Empier research and founded their own research team. Difference of interest was cited as the reason for the split. Apparently they will be working on Jahannam until permanent premises are found for the new company.

And here’s Nirur Torir’s warp explorer approaching the warp-point thingy.

Now, if anyone is interested in being aboard a pirate ship thingy, as silly as it is, then PM me, would you? You’ll be on a big boskii, and you’ll be able to piss off the government and steal stuff from people. It’ll be a sort of weird democratic thing with group Private messages. Heh. Sort of an oxymoron. Also, I accidentally spelled Nirur Torir shipyards as Nirur Torir Shiptards before I spellchecked. It made me snicker.

I want to captain an exploration ship with 1 unit of the heaviest armour available(presumably none...), 1 long range sensor, maximum engines, and as much fuel as possible(preferably solar panels).

Well, on that note. Guys. There is no way you can get to other systems. I havnae declared open season on traveling through warp-points yet. I will soon, but not yet! You’ll have to be patient for a little while longer, I’m afraid. But you’ll get a middle of the road frigate somewhere along the line, probably soon-ish.
I would rather get a transport than an armed ship, I could deploy satellites and haul cargo until I have the resources to commission the long range scout I always wanted...

ToonyMan demands that I have a fake assassination attempt on me.  I then proceed to grab the so-be assassin and rip their heart out.  Also, make this during one of my famous public speeches.

I demand secret scouting missions going against the will of the government, trying to get a secret colony going.

Nobody has ever returned from the glowy blue thing, you might find it difficult to find a crew willing to charge through fast enough that nobody can catch them...

To them it's either possible death by glowing blue thing, or definite death of slow torture.

might work on it, if glacies isn't doing that yet, and he doesn't mind me writing more newspaperish things. and if i have time, of course.
but... what do you mean with "fake"? does it mean that you organized it, or just that it failed?
if i write about it, i was thinking of playing a newspaper which is either corrupt or controlled by government ( you) and so praising what you do despite it being usually cruel, illogical, or just plain evil.

edit: nevermind. i'll be away for a week, so no writing. glacies, put me on Ai from friday to untill i come back

Well, it was going to be set-up to make the President look more badass.  Then maybe people will respect me!

actually, instead of praising you as badass, people would probably praise the murderer as an hero.
you are too crazy to be loved by people.
