Warning contains mean things.

(smiles)
Also nice colosseum, did you know they use to fill the real one with water from pipeworks that are under it from a previous roman palace and have ship battles.
VF should work on Vista, but you haven't really given me enough helpful inf here. Can you load other, smaller, maps? Can you post the .log file so I can see at what point it fails?

I have tested 16x16 maps on Vista without problems, but I've never had a living fortress so it's entirely possible you've found a new bug or that something is overflowing somewhere. The best bet is to send me the map (and raw directory if it's modded) and I can test it out.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1457 -40d16 saved fort, from FotF thread first page
http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1458 -download from this threads first page

map that I cant get worked, and whole visual file.

Will run from 2x2 through 11x11 with no problem...on my end in different saves and brand new files, if you can get that to work with that, then its something about my computer...if you cant get it then its on your end.

no modds anywhere, and I worked out it has nothing to do with my DF settings since it wont run a fresh download gen 16x16, on my part.

After this I don't think I will ever make another large, circular megaproject. Each and every block's position had to be positioned by hand.  :-\

Will a linux build ever be released? ::) This looks epic, but I'd rather not attempt to run it in WINE :S

It works fine with wine, as long as you use the windows version of DF ^^

Now think about the folks making round towers ;)  ...even round underground fortresses... I've made a few and they require a TON of planning and finger work.

This is going to sound odd, but can anyone run the map from the above post and get me some Screenshots for useage sake... without show hidden on and all relevant slices at Top down, four corners to center, and four edges to center.

If at all possible...

is that a microcline stargate?!

Good Armok, how will you prevent dwarfs from leaping into it?!

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...
It should be pretty fun though.

Why would any of us here on these forums do that?

Well, once the first one hits you'll get an alert message

"You have struck microcline!"

Ahhaha... *blink*.

That is so win. I also noticed that you also use 5x5 or 10x10.

I made some mockups of the Japanese castle that someone was talking about before... but it was ugly, and too hard to distinguish ramp from wall, so I dissembled it. I'm currently flooring my now-finished castle.
