That really does look like a primitive camp, awesome.
i must try Kobold camp, is there an (un)official mod or should i just change the entity file?

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...
It should be pretty fun though.

In the picture are 6 huts (2x2 with bridge roof) and the Meeting hall, also a Mud hole to try and reduce water Bad thoughts, sadly this only marginally works as they dont care if its a water source or not.

Model tests for VisFort:
Lever (and chair but it's not final)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

46 polys,UV coords for nice texturing.

Oh,and now I know that VisFort does not support tris only polys...or maybe I'm wrong.

Kobold Camp shot, is there a way to change the texture for wood walls? or is that something you would have to do on your end?

There's a spreadsheet called 'tiletypes' in the 'Data' directory for Visual Fortress that has all the tiles and the texture file names assigned to them. You could probably add your own 256x256 texture to the 'Textures' folder, find the tile for wood walls in the spreadsheet, and change the file name accordingly. Or you could just find the texture that is already assigned to wood walls and edit it how you want it to look.

Also, maybe I am missing something, but how do you open the model .bin files? I want to try making some models for this and I want to look at some of the models implemented so I can get the scale correct. I guess the follow up question would be how do I convert a model to .bin, or can I just leave them as .obj's or something?

Dunno how to edit .bin models but VisFort can use .obj without any problems

The tower is done!
It is a mighty 42 z-levels tall.

BRILLIANT.

Now you just need a giant roving eye made of magma on top.

Thanks!
I was thinking about making a flaming eye, but didn't get around to it yet.
And the tower already reaches the topmost level, so I probably can't even build it :(

After looking at some of my forts in the visualizer, I'm finding myself underwhelmed by what I've made.  I really gotta step it up now!  :D

If you can make clear glass, just turn the top into a bowl and fill it with magma.
