I've started a new thread for Obsidian (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=57920.0)

it means you're using a new version of DF with an old utility.

Yep. Unfortunately, Baboonanza had real life pop up and so couldn't continue development of visual fortress into DF2010. But there are alternatives being created, such as the before mentioned Obsidian.

Dwarf Overseer is your best alternative right now, IMO. Obsidian hasn't gotten that far, and while Overseer's hardly done, it does work fine, and if you have 3DSMax you can copy the file into there and toy around with sexifying it on your own. That, or use the DF-to-Minecraft utility in the Modding subforum and just romp around there.

Do you have a link for Dwarf Overseer? Can't find it anywhere...

On the internet you don't need developers, you just need people who want to get something done by other people for free.

And the guy who decided to do that instead created his own viewer.
