Uh oh, Baboonanza hasn't posted in about 3 weeks... Come, my fellow dwarves, it is time to mount a rescue party!

Oh, and bump. I couldn't let this thread sit on page 3 now could I? :)

So does this program show furniture and workshops yet?  I saw some pics from way earlier, but I wasn't sure if they were of proposed art or if they were in-program.

In the next version they should show up. Right now they don't.

Well, I was going to suprise you :)

Texture revamp with additonal material support. Ie. sandstone has a proper sandstone texture instead of a coloured generic texture.
Bump-mapping, specular lighting. Improved water. (Shader support required)
Blades of grass (the same way its done in games)
Variable time-of-day sky dome. Clouds will have to wait I think
All the building models that have been posted
New slice tool
New interior view
Smooth interiors (ie random noise is only applied outside)
Advanced screenshot capabalility
Many bug-fixes.

All of this is finished/partially complete and my gf is away next week so I should be able to get a lot done.

EDIT: Oh, and camera clipping, forgot about that.
Something like this than?

Well, I really like this visualizer, and I like seeing shots of the great forts other people post here, so I thought it might be nice to post one or two of my own things.

Spiralwaters, from when I was playing around with controllable map entrances.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It was more or less a giant felsite spiral constructed on a 3x3 perfectly flat embark with a magma pipe a little ways under the center. I was going to make a giant, spiralling tower in the center, but I got kinda bored with the whole thing. I mean, really, my dwarves did more or less nothing but construction; they didn't even have basic masonry skills. Boy, was making each spiral thick enough to let the caravans through a pain, though. Still, was pretty cool to have a giant spiral of water surrounded by endless magma.

And yes, that thing in the magma is a tree. I tried to cut them all as they grew, but I missed him.

Thanks all. I could still theoretically go back and finish it... All my dwarves are Legendary +5 in every social skill despite having more or less no other skills at all since all they ever did between grabbing rock and building walls was stand around talking to each other. If I ever do add the tower (and the trade depot at the very top, hoorah!) I'll spam some more pics of it, but my current undertaking will likely take me a few months more still.
