Yes, actually, I am trying to get myself banned.  I wish Toady would quit working on this worthless piece of junk and go back to teaching math.

TTOOAADDYone!!!

If in-game dwarf fortress looked like this... everyone here would never see the light of day again (not to mention the millions which would suddenly not be turned off by the UI)

(and have a "classical mode" for all the ascii lovers plz... (or the poor of graphics card peeps)  ;D )
why won't people stop doing this, misspelling toady one, and demanding a better UI/3D interface.
It's already in the works, and 3d will NEVER get implemented(other than the Visualize feature that is currently broken).

It's not THAT improbable.

Quote from: DF Talk 2 transcript
Rainseeker:   I have one from Hishan, [who] says; [13]'What do you think about the 3D utilities for Dwarf Fortress, like 3Dwarf, Lifevis, or Khazard, and would you ever consider using such a system in the main Dwarf Fortress program?'
Toady:   If you want to consider it, the visualiser is such a system. It's garbage, but clearly I don't mind the overall concept of having a 3D representation or something, and I think it's cool that those are there so that people can see their fortresses. I get a little more uncomfortable when it moves over to the territory of 'we're going to have a 3D interface for the game, and write a whole frontend' or whatever; but to the extent that they [are] static visualisation programs, I think they're really cool and I think it's great that people can see their fortresses; and I've really enjoyed a lot of the pictures I've seen. People posting like giant bridges, giant statues, and cathedrals and all kinds of things that they've been working on; I think it's really cool. For me to actually sit down and do something like that; obviously my first attempt was a total failure, so I'm not really eager to get back into myself but I could do it at some point.

I would rather that Toady Works on the next version's features then a shiny interface... and in a futile attempt to put the topic back on track,
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
it's the closest thing I've made to a megaproject.

Wow, that fortress made me think of Tribes 2.  There was an Arena map or something that looked like that.

That's probably bug report material.  What do you see in-game when you 'k' over that tile?

This actually looks quite cool. As if it is covered with moss or something. Also the contrast of dark and green is always nice effect.

My guess is that a sapling spawned over that grass tile before the statue was placed.  It's possible that, since it was not a construction built over it, the sapling grew into a full tree.

That's an interesting one, I haven't seen it before. What state is the bridge in? ie is it retractable or rasied/lowered and what is it's current position?
