WOOT! freaking awesome, thank you so much zxcvmnb!!!
Mind If I ask you for a Few more?
Wondering if oyu can give me a "Close up" similar to the second pic, a vew of the Three circles but zoomed in so the rest of the valley is out, so there s a good detailed close up view of the three big buildings from about the same angle looking down..

And then if possible some shots of the "City" underground. I remeber theres a way to turn the stone 'transparent' and I was hoping for some shots of the multi z level underground city as it currently stand, as well as some shots form the inside streets to see it from Dwarf perspective.

Here's a few pictures of my fort. Was going to do a bit more like add a pyramid to the desert area and fortify the entrance a bit but I grew a little bored.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the statue spits magma and the name of the fortress was the randomly generated "Largetower" hence the large tower. Also pictures look the best when scrolled to the right.

Statue is of Meng Bubnusendok Idek Zalis, The champion who slew over half of the demons of the abyss and wields Asolag, the Aluminum battleaxe, and wears Titthalnitem, the golden platemail. He's missing his arms at the moment though, probably wont be getting them either.

Not so awesome side entrance after caravan refused to enter from bridge.

Wow, that's a great fort. Is it on the DFMA? I'd love to take a closer look.

I especially love how you built supports under the bridge. I've been delaying it for a while, but I have plans to do something similar (but more like a roman aqueduct) to a bridge on my fort later. Incidentally, traders will use your bridge if they have land tiles to spawn on-- so if you start from the land and build some ramps up one or two z levels to your bridge, caravans should spawn there (it looks like right now the actual bridge touches the edge, which I believe stops them from spawning).

It keeps doing this for some reason:

but it worked after a few tries.

It's a bit difficult to get good shots undergrond, since generally you can't see very much at once.

That's some kind of vertex error with your graphics card, or at least looks identical to what happened when mine melted. You should check the heat on that thing when you run visual fortress and see if it's significantly hot (especially if it's old).

Also, has the project gone dead, or will there someday be some progress with more rendered objects like workshops and the like?

True, especially given the time of the year. I don't mean to be impatient, I've just been wondering for quite a while so I figured I'd ask.

What would worry me more, is I believe he said something along the lines of having some progress for us around or shortly after Thanksgiving, but we haven't seen or heard from him since.

Baboonanza, Codesmith, cancles Hunt Thanksgiving Turkey: interrupted by carp.

According to his forum stats, he came to the site on Dec 4... Which suggests to me he may be in a DF burnout after constant play and coding the visualizer. We should see him again sometime before January if this is the case.

The Glorious Pyramid of Logemgidthur, the Paintedgrasp

Now, see... That is a damned impressive structure. And it's got heaps of style. Shame you can't cap it, but still, 'glorious' is a pretty apt adjective there.
