I Found the Dwarfiest Song Evar.
« on: July 28, 2009, 01:30:18 pm »

Wooden Pints

It's by Korpiklaani, one of my favorite bands.

Seriously, it's about little men that have never seen the sun, enjoying meat an beer, without caring about the tremendous brutality they can wreak.

I absolutely love this song.

Not only is it not actually advertising anything, it's just copy/pasting word salads about gold, runescape, oil, yuan, and handbags.  It's like a transporter accident combined all the spambots into one shambling mass of online sales.

Epic.

No other words come to mind.

That [Magma] is a bit deep down there, don't you think?
You really aren't thinking like a dwarf.

If you think it is down too far, you move it up until it reaches an acceptable elevation.

korpiklaani are awesome.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Agreed. Carpin' awesome. They do Armok proud. This is the Hymn of Armok.

I swear, this song will be playing in my head for days. Even the violin fiddle in the song is awesome.

I think I might end up yelling out the chorus just for no reason at all tomorrow. ;D

So freaking sav'd.

EDIT: Fix'd

Fixed.

It's only a violin in classical music.

It's still not Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King".

But, it's still dwarven, I'll give you that. Horrible vocals aside.

This is more dwarfy than this.
Both versions are awesome, I just like Apocalyptica's better.
And the video that guy made is awesome.

I think both are great too, but I just really like classical music. I don't know why, but opera and classical are two of my many favorite genres.

I'll admit that I found the Apocalyptica version quite jarring, and much prefer the classical version.

Plus, I'm not sure what the association between dwarves and electric guitar is. The bass-clef instruments and pipe organ have always seemed like much more dwarfy instruments to me.
