All I want is trenches and mustard gas, artillery, and duel wielding.

All I want are assault rifles and jetpacks.

That would count as artillery.
While it is super awesome, it's not a personnel weapon.
A BFG, typically, is a personnel weapon designed to take out everything from roaches to battle cruisers.

On-Topic: It would also strike fear into the hearts of your opponents.

A crossbow in the hands of a champion marksdwarf is a BFG. Bonus points if he's been cross-trained as a hammerdwarf.

Actually yeah. I want to see weapons striking fear (and pain) into the hearts of opponents. I mean, a goblin wrestler bull rushing a swordsdwarf wearing -Steel Plate Mail- and wielding a *Steel Short Sword* doesn't make sense.

The crossbows need more dakka.
Because you can never have enough dakka.

You realize, of course, that anyone who reads those links will have their spare time and most likely their brains immediately annihilated?

Not that I'm helping the matter.  ;D

Would linking to TVtropes count as "torture"? I mean, it causes substantial damage to a person, but they enjoy it, at least before it swallows them entirely.

TV tropes is a labyrinth where the walls are constructed from snarkiness and useless but funny information.

Its like wikipedia but with fewer assholes.

TVTropes should paralyze the enemy when used.
It should not do any actual damage, but distract them so you can finish them.
Or they stay there until they starve.

STOP IT! I got to Buffy speak (checking ever link on the Need More Dakka page) before getting away. I'm not a dick, so I don't post the links up. Stupid natural curiosity. It may have made us smart to begin with, but now it makes us stupid.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

God forbid someone links you to Tvtropes' Wh40k page.

So many tropes. So much carnage.

 :-\ Dammit he's still alive!

On the other hand he's not liable to move until the next ice age, if that.

Also, that's going in my sig.
