I loaded up my save in the new version, spent a minute trying to find my archery range before figuring it was the room with Xs down both sides: bins of ammo and archery targets.
Urist McCrossbower cancells practice crossbowery: Unsure of which end of the room to shoot at.

um wait... does it swim in water and is made of magma, or is it made of magma and lives in it too? cause living in magma and made of magma is so much cooler than one that would spawn in the water and suddenly create steam and cool itself into an instant statue of itself....lol.... wait.... both would be awesome.... instant statue!!!!!


yeah all of that looks like massive jumbles of letters to me, so if you would be so kind.... how many limbs does that have? and then if someone would also be so kind as to send me a personal message telling me how and where to place the new makken. i would be much abliged

If you want it to spawn in water (not sure if it survives, but I promise there will be smoke on the water) add [AQUATIC]. Or maybe it's [BIOME:AQUATIC], not sure. Look it up on wiki.

Anyway, make a new .txt, or paste into an old, I don't THINK it matters. if it's anew .txt (easier to organize that way anyhoo) add:

"creature_makken

[OBJECT:CREATURE]
"

to the top without the quotes, yes I meant to put the quote on the lower line (signifies the line break is there). Should be there when you gen a new world, you have the same chance of it being there at all as fire men, but a much smaller population. Probably likely that very early on, they all attack you (hopefully not all at once) and either kill you or die off. I'd say it would be awesome to tame them, but that doesn't go well with fixed 12000 temp.

make two makkens... name one Aquamakken, cousin to aquaman and aqualad and the infamous aqua-dwarffortress...(very bad idea of creating a megaproject using many pumps and flooding the world on accident when trying to create a waterfall using an indoor waterfall.... and forgot to close a door that was levered open.....thus the aquafort.

toobad the dwarfs couldnt breath water)

Settle on a tile that has all of the folowing:

*A frozen frozen sinister tundra called The Thousand Needles of Eternal Torture
*Nearby the sea The Pregnant Sea Of Zombie Wales,
*The glacier The Looming Terror starting in the adjutant worldmap tile,
*A human city of Milksugars.
*A goblin tower
*A chasm full of GCS in
*A freezing mountain
*A cold forest, a magma pipe
*An underground river. 
*A haunted desert
*A haunted swamp
*A Terrifying Volcano with skeletal fire imps
*Tropical wetlands
*A 30+ z waterfall
*A Terrifying glacier
*HFS
*A cave full of kobolds that guards the volcano

... I think someone has been messing with the worldgen parameters.

I am starting to think that the poor artist got overexerted of  the mere thought of the area we're asking for. Maybe we should give the guy a break and choose a bit more normal area.

In this case, from the suggestions, I think a haunted desert would be nice. With purple sand. Purple sand that swallows the soap maker of the group. Because it's haunted. And because it hates soap.

but why does it hate the soap? is it cause it is haunted? or because soap destroyes dirt and grime from working?

or is it just because its purple, which just means that its racist against soap?

OH i know why!!! Its because there was a blood feud long ago between the haunted purple sand and the holy soap....

naw im just screwing around. or am i giving story ideas?

Haunted purple sand is fine for me....
tho i still think it should be inside the capital.... a fort in a fort, if you will....

The haunted sand wishes to soak all dorfs with it's suffocating self. Soaper makes soap, that a dorf MIGHT use to wash themselves off, removing the haunted sand.

Obviously, this cannot be allowed to happen.
