Think about it this way.  They could've been the kind of parents that let you do whatever you want, tell you you're the most special and unique person in the world, and that you could be anything you want.   You could've ended up orange, with spiky hair and a fast Asian car, puckering your lips like a woman for pictures and faking an Italian accent.

Adversity strengthens us, and it will forge you into a man so manly men will not be man enough to man up to their women why they're not manly like you are, man.

Man man man man man man man man man.

I would like to make a note here that he doesn't do this because he doesn't care or that he is just mean. From what I understand it is just a mixture of tiredness, heavy depression and a slight misunderstanding of child psychology. So I'm a little more alright with this. If this was made with the intent to have this effect on me then I would be deep in shit, but as it stands all this is just an overworked guy trying his best. Only his best is a little skewed.

And I do realize that due to the crap I had to go through I could eventually forgive him for all that. And why I don't get angry at people. I just fear this could eventually make me emotionally cold, and someday be somewhat like him.
I don't think he wants me to become like him someday. At least, not in that regard.

Edit: I would also like to thank Cthulhu for actually having the balls to reply to that amazingly heavy paragraph. Thanks.

Hooray for generalization, aye?

Because obviously people who buy apple products are retards, people who believe in Christianity are psychopathic idiots and so on.

There are few things in this world that make my blood pass boiling point, but generalization is one of them. It's ironic though, in that you can generalize generalization. I.e if you make a sweeping statement denouncing a certain group as idiots or terrible, you're a bigot.

I'm glad someone else agrees. I just hate how some people lable and categorise people just to say stuff like that.

And the sad thing is they do it because they could never say it on a personal level.

I've been upset by racist generalizations from my friends recently...

Quite a lot of people at my school seem to be Pathological Labellers in this respect.

I don't think generalization in itself is bigoted, its just people who use it (everyone) are bigoted.

If i said that everyone that was protesting at a god hates fags rally was a asshole, would i be wrong?

Some of them would be children dragged along by their bigoted parents, so you could well be wrong.

Some adults could very well not be bigots.

You have to make a logical deduction. Do you know every single goth in the world? Do you know even one who you like (Sofia)? Then they aren't all 'dumb'.

Do you know all the people in the 'God hates Fags' crowd? Well, logically they'd have only joined the church if they believed that. So yes, they are all assholes. Or, if you wanted to be totally safe, you could claim everyone in the current rally is an asshole.

Children are something of a special case. I don't think they count until they can make their own decisions, whether or not those decisions are influenced by their parent's teachings. You could also say 'everyone in that rally who made the decision to protest against homosexuals is an assholes.'
