I had that last week.  Man, that stuff sucks.

I don't seem to get flu much.  May be due to the semi permanent hayfever I used to have a lot.

Oh, that's something that makes me rage. My immune system is shocking. I catch everything, in some cases more than once.

I don't even remember it, actually. I was too young.

But swine flu wasn't fun. Then it depressed my immune system (depression is a serious affliction. Worse, my immune system can't take happy tabs) and then I get a minor cold and I'm suddenly in bed for a week.

That would suggest an overactive rather than a weak immune system.  Most symptoms of colds/ flu are your body's reaction to the virus rather than the virus itself.

I always thought it was weird how it's your immune system that does that. Better than letting the germs and virii traipse about your body freely though.

If it's allowed to develop into full blown AIDs, then yes, I suppose it does.  Anti virals can prevent this from happening almost indefinately, however.

Probably because it's on my face, that tends to freak people out. Hell that's why I let my hair grow over it.

No, I don't think it's because it's on your face, I think it's because it's so close to your eye. I have a thing about them that a believer in the behaviorist school of psychology might say stems from the fact that my brother is half-blind due to a childhood accident involving a razor blade.
