Again, I must stress the importance of moving this to Forum Games and not Community Games and Stories. We must maintain our class.

I suggest that we go with the diminishing returns cat model, where cat repopulation is capped at sqrt(minimum(male cats, female cats)), and kttens take a minimum of 20 turns to mature.

I also advise the inclusion of Ironblood's morals, part k-i: "I like kittens, they make great clothes" making all dwarves immune to automatic pet adoption from them.

Now is the time to confirm! Any last additions before I set the field of play?

I also advise the inclusion of Ironblood's morals, part k-i: "I like kittens, they make great clothes" making all dwarves immune to automatic pet adoption from them.

Unfortunately, Ironbloods morals require Ironblood to be in play... and we have had to ban Ironblood due to the problems caused by IronBlood Personal Rules: Section 7, Rule 5 which allowed him to summon asny peice of furniture into existence and turn it into an incredibly powerful weapon. The power of Ironblood often meant that the weapon would do infinityD7 damage per attack... and rolling infinite dice really does slow the game down a lot.

I beleive we may be able to get around this problem with use of Pantsheim Supplement Rules: The Fortress and Bullshit, Chapter 38609, Section 46b, Rule 1 which would allow us to confine all of the cats to a single cage. This would only require a single "stuffed cage" model and would also be suitable for the task just so long as nobody opens the cage.

(If that were to happen, then play would have to be postponed until the cats are deleivered... and then postponed again as we retreat to a safe distance to watch the building collapse as a result of being stuffed to the brim with solid-silver cat models)

Can we agree as gentlemen to not open any cat-cages?

The rules are decided! As gentlemen, I trust you will NOT cause any such things as will bring the game to a grinding halt or cause fatalities. There will be no tokens or cards, only dice and miniatures. And there will most certainly be no Z-levels, and shall the field fill with obscure unicode characters. Let the games BEGIN!

A megabeast without a cave? Unheard of! I think this violates a rule or two. but worry not, I can remedy the situation. You see, no colonists have embarked here yet. We can still modify the terrain as by the "Colonies, Cities and Expanding ones Empire and the Effects on Topography" tome. Chapter six, paragraph twenty, subsection three:

"And thus one can modify terrain upon which the colonists which which have been referenced, as long as said terrain has yet to engage in activities with colonists, the activities of which being described in the list in the next subsection of this book. The main rule to know is the action of embarking, as this locks terrain in place due to Mother Nature not wishing to interfere with the arrangement made in the Mother Nature vs. Mr. Industry Tacticus game of before time."

 Thus a cave appears.
Of course, by rolling a 1 I have just made a crack in the side of the cliff. Whatever.

Ah, my cohorts, I would appreciate it if we might please have some semblance of turn ourder- It's CowOfDoom, then Qwerty. And mind you Duke, Jackrabbit stated that his move was not cannon.

Also, a creature is SUMMONED, and belongs to whoever summoned it, unless due to the creature's intelligence or other factors, it is stated otherwise (See Gerald Frankin's essay, TACTICUS: Why Carp Kill Everything c1912).

Also, Jackrabbit, will you be joining us?

i think the idea of having a turn system in place has too much potential to slow things down. i rather liked the previous tacticus, where we just went whenever.

This is generally the Gentlemanly way of playing.

I myself am beggining the game with a dwarf adventurer approaching the cave...

First, skills.

*rolls dice*

Ok, my skills are... Legendary Spearuser and Legendary Sheild User

And my equipment.

*rolls dice*

Ah... A sword and a loincloth. Still, the loincloth is adamantium...

I approach the collossus with my dwarf, who is shivering slightly and frantically trying to remember which end of his sword to hold.

I too feel that the turnless structure is inherent to the sophistication of Tacticus, and that instigating one would be a most ungentlemanly move.

In any case, I have decided that my first piece shall be.... Ah, but of course. My first piece shall be the Dwarf Scientist, renown throughout the land for his proficiency in the testing of high explosives.

Very well! Let there be gentlemanly havoc!

I will now summon a powerful avatar of my will! (See TACTICUS: Deities and their Will by Homer) This allows me to summon a creature of a variable form, but it is guaranteed to be legendary in one random skill.

*Roll on a D100: 12*
An Elf woman! Decent, I suppose. Now how about that skill:

*Roll on a D100: 3*
...Nature Magic. Lovely. Incase you didn't know, 1 was climbing and 2 was swimming (Pantsheim's Ordering of the Skills). Perhaps I shall get some good equipment.

*Roll on a D100: 0*
Erm... well, anyway, I summon an Elf!
