It's for the best.  At least for the tentacle demons, their FPS-draining ability goes through walls. 

Ah, FPS, the weak point of all my fortresses.  I only remember losing one fort to attack, but it was truly the most fun I've had with the game (:

Nope.
Dwarfy is blunt and tasteless with a high chance of a pyhrric victory.

I think its "pyric" as in "pyros". As in a victory that results in your fort flooded with magma.

Yup, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrrhic_victory

But I do like the idea of modifying it to pyric so it reflects to that AND burning stuff.
