-Main quests have bugs in them. I was heading to the lady that knew about the artifacts, and it never targetted the claptrap i was suppose to talk to, so i wandered around aimlessly looking for the thing.
Yeah...
I went around too, and ended up finding the claptrap after I came in from the other side.
It took 2 hours.
Not the best part of the game.

I've been trying to find this game for ages, but it seems every store in a 10 mile radius is sold out. It kinda sucks.
That's why you buy it from Steam.

I have a 2005 computer :P I'd rather console get it so it actually... you know... works

As i play it i notice the shoddy work done on game.

-The AI has reflexes and speed faster then bullets. I aim at their head, shoot, and in the time it takes to reach them they turn around, shot, and move to the left.......
What wapon are you shooting? I am pretty sure that the AI doesn't react to rocket fire until it hits and all bullet weapons are instant (if not instant, close enough that it doesn't matter).

-AI is stupid. They shoot constantly even when I'm behind a wall of cover and it is impossible to hit me, this includes shooting a rocket launcher and killing themselves. They also get themselves stuck on rocks.
Putting fire into the area your target has taken cover isn't stupid.

AI wall hacks are stupid, however and they have, saddly, become a very common feature. Nothing new to this game.

I was using a sniper, and was undetected while aiming. Dead center on the head too.

No other wall hack AI stop shooting and act differently when they can't see you. And they don't blow themselves up.

The bullets travel pretty slow in the game, and the AI react like... AI (and that's bad, considering you're supposed to program AI to behave like humans) thus, the AI has already started returning fire before the bullet has even met its mark. =/

Look the game has problems all over.

The Shoddy AI is a feature (Not a joke... just fight a few bosses and you will see that horrible AI was half-way intentional)

Making the AI of every NPC bad so the few bosses are balanced is not a better idea then making the bosses fit a good AI, as should have been done in the first place.

In order for them to have purposly made the AI like that they would have to have developed the bosses status before the normal creatures status, then make an AI based off that. Which doesn't make any sense.

Of course that won't stop me fro playing this game over and over  ;D

On a side note, has anyone fought the giant flaming bird.......Mothrakk I believe? Mothrokk....Mothraak

I couldn't fight it without ducking under a stone arch and taking shots at it with my sniper. Those fireballs can't be outran.

Mothrakk was a pain. You have to keep moving because it constantly attacks you, and iof you slow down for a second you get hit.

Just did Mothrakk about an hour ago. I died like 5 times.

God bless level 37 teammates.

Lots of people on the official forum said Mothrakk was difficult... I don't get it. Mothrakk behaves like a bomber - and a pretty slow one too.

There's a long strip of land nearby, with several skag holes and a stone arch at the end, leading to the Lost Cave entrance. I cleared out the skags, light the fire and headed back. I found that if I sprint on foot, Mothrakk could never hit me - it was too slow. So I ran in a straight line, and make a big turn at the end of the road, rinse and repeat. When the booming sound stopped, I knew Mothrakk's turning around at the end of its bombing run, so I turned around and shoot, keeping Mothrakk's height in mind to lead my bullets.

With an accurate automate weapon, Mothrakk dies rather fast that way, much faster than using a machine gun runner, and you are not really in any danger of dying.

Yes but

1. If that arch wasnt their you would die

2. If you get hit, you slow down enough so that you get hit by every other attack he throws

3. Hunters action skill Bloodwing doesn't reach that high >_>

Actually, on this play through Mothrakk was way too easy.

I was level 25, with a 400, 30% health boost shield, and a x4 corrosive sniper.
Didn't take long at all to kill. Also, if you get up on the cliffs, The bloodwing can get it.

Of course last time I used a machine gun runner, and died quite a few times.

No, I never hid below anything. I ran between the arch and the point where the strip of land joins with the main road (a 3-way joint of the strip of land I ran on, the main road leading to Arid Hills entrance and the road to the rakk nest). I ran in an elongated circle pattern.

Just keep running in a straight line when you heard Mothrakk's bombing, and you will be faster than the bombs and won't get hit. When the bombing stops, it means Mothrakk's turning around and that's when you start shooting.

If you messed up and got hit, jump forward and to the side. Mothrakk needs time to adjust its course to be able to hit you again.

My first character is a soldier. Scorpion turret won't aim that high as well... in PT1 I didn't have homing missile on it, and in PT2 I didn't bother to use turret at all.

You dont run away from mothrakk! you wait til it starts to drop stuff, and then sprint in the direction it came from!

this way, you sometimes dont get hit even a single time, plus when the thing tries to turn around theres a lot of bomb-dropping downtime....

Running away is more trouble than it's worth.

Hmm, found a way that you can make your own weapons. It's pretty much hacking/cheating though and ruins the Porpoise of the game.

You still can't make super godly weapons (at least I don't think you can), but you can make them the way you want.

In the process of milling about with it I did figure out that the numbers and letters in the 'model number' of a gun actually has a meaning, and so does the color scheme. For example, a Hyperion AR500 is a red color and has some basic stats. An AR500.W is red and grey with improves stats, and an AR500.G is dark red with the best stats (these are called 'material values')

(probably should have searched this topic for talk bout this)

Hm, so those grayed out options in the arena cannot be accessed by any means right?

Well I'm sure they'll give us the privilege of paying extra for it in a DLC sometime in the future.  :-\
