Dunno, I am not very impressed with it. Yeah, this kind of shader for graphics is neat, features are quite nice and it's a cool grindmachine, but the world is quite linear so it looks like you're playing on a monorail; also a lot of running back and forth.

I'd say it's enjoyable but not perfect.

The brilliant part of these graphics is in fact that it is not a shader, but rather textures painted in the style of the concept art. Most cel-shading is done with simple shader tricks, but this is in fact art done up to appear like that.

Yeah, I think I'm sick of it.

But I got it on launch day and played more hours than I should have. So I can't complain :)

I've been playing this at a friends house, on his PS3, sadly, but I love it.

Currently level 17, just killed Sledge. Have a revolver that can one-shot almost anything I come across, even without it's 'chance to cause explosions'.

Heh, if you play it "normally", it's ok. I just jumped into it, played for a LOT of time in a short period and was a bit bored. Lvl 19 now. I think I will play it again a bit later.

I'm around level 36 or so, but I've stopped playing for now.  I'll probably pick it up again before too terribly long.

Borderlands is incredibly stupid, badly designed and awesome at the same time....

If you want the game to be impossible, you dont do ANY sidequests at all (starts getting impossible with bonehead)

If you want it to be hard, you do ONE sidequest. More than that, the game gets easy.

Problem is: they dont tell you that!

Anyways. The game becomes interesting and challenging only AFTER you beat the main storyline on playthrough 2 (and maybe you have to become lvl50, but I think it works if you beat it sooner, too). All the monsters become lvl49-51 and there are much harder subbosses and the bosses respawn. That's exactly the setting in which the game should be played, and if you want some content at that point, you better saved up all the sidequests.

edit: oh btw... afaik, the only way to adjust the difficulty of the game, other than restricting yourself to certain content, is to change the difficulty multiplier in the ini and THEN have clients connect to your game. Does anybody know of a utility to simulate borderland lan clients? Because running multiple instances of the game... thats a bit much for my computer  ;D (The instructions on the internets tell you can kill those other clients after you launched the game - but thats wrong they need to be running)

That doesnt work. Ive tried it, and Ive played in games where it was set to +2 and there was no difference. If anything, its a placebo effect.

we set it to +7 and I'm pretty sure the enemies deal more damage and have more health.

I'm level 19 and also have an explody revolver. Also just took down Sledge.

But yeah, I'm taking a break from Borderlands in favor of DF.

Would like to play MP when I start up again.

OH GOD TODAY I FOUND AN AWESOME SNIPER.

Something something Liquid Sniper.

199 damage.
x4 chance of dealing elemental (fire) damage.
3.0x weapon zoom.
+12 clip size.
And Chance to Cause Explosions.

And I haven't reach level 20 yet.

You didn't put the rate.

I have a Sniper, +9 ammo I believe with good rate and decent reload. I love it! It is what I honestly wanted out of Rifles but didn't get.

I like how when you start to get a bit bored, the game throws you a corrosive revolver that kills everything.

Also, is it weird that I find it easier to kill a car with a shotgun rather than a rocket launcher?
