Im also making something, but its not really a save editor. Since this game has no gamble shop, I plan on making one. It will of course edit your save, but it will only be taking your money and giving you a gun as a replacement. It will also not be bound by all of the strict ingame item generation, so you could quite possibly get weapon combinations that would be impossible for the game to give you. And it will give you something to do with the millions of moneys you have accumulated and have nothing to do with.  Huzzah!

Of course!
Hit me up with a friend req at jaybud4, I'll get back to you.
Do you have any instant messaging services?  Gamespy doesn't serve that purpose, and these forums aren't very good for organizing games.
Steam would be preferable, or Xfire.
My username is still jaybud4 in both those places.

Any ETA on a weapon editor/creator? I wonder how effective the ricochet+spiral bullets would be on a shotgun.

Funtimes: You can modify default gravity in WillowGame.ini in My Documents/My Games/Borderlands/WillowGame/Config  ;D
Just search for DefaultGravityZ=-500 - it should be under Engine.WorldInfo.  Lower settings can make you jump extremely high. I haven't tried positive settings, assuming it would make everything useless since you'd just keep floating up probably. For a non-annoying but still interesting and sometimes convenient (read: pretty cheatish/travel time decrease) change, I'd suggest -200 to -150, which is what I'm at now.

I did some testing - it works over lan so that if you're hosting the game, the other players get the changed settings, but if they're hosting, it returns to normal. So it's essentially a server-side tweak. I don't know what it does over GameSpy yet - I'm using a copy of my partner's game to play with him, so I'm wary of playing online lest he get banned.

Also, under [WillowGame.WillowInventoryManager] in the same file it appears you can alter the inventory and weapon slots you get at the beginning of the game. I tried putting it to 5 after getting 4 slots - it's buggy, but you can -kind- of make it work. I can switch between five equipped weapons after dropping and picking up one, using the scroll wheel. There's just no UI support for it, so the only way to unequip a weapon in the fifth slot is to drop and replace it from the ground with another.

Still, kinda useful if you don't want to go through your first playthrough with a tiny amount of weapon slots to play with. I know I was constantly using the inventory to change out to other guns, which kinda got aggravating. I kinda wish they had given you more to use.

Fair warning: If you host with changed inventory settings there, anybody that joins gets that many slots permanently.

Also, Gamespy has nothing to do with copy protection.  It could care less if you pirated or otherwise don't own the game.
There's no CD key.

Wow really? Ehe, that kind of sucks. Wouldn't be surprised if people started putting in absurdly high numbers to grief.

Well, I use the sampled version via Gamespy well, but I wouldn't try to break the game... at least for now :).

This is what I'm working with right now, I still have more leveling to do, but I don't know where I'll put the rest of the talents.

Trespass is awesome.  I was one-shotting people with pistols, assault rifles, whatever I had on hand.  I don't see how I lived without it.

Meh. I'm going with the rogue's multi-hit bloodwing, mainly because I'm more of a single player person, and most of the sniper tree screams, rape, in pvp.

So I've been solo-ing with a Siren, and hear they gimped them something major in PvP. Something about a lot of her more powerful abilities not working. I was really hoping to use her as a counter to my brothers Hunter once I built her up a bit, but now I'm concerned. Anyone know if its true?

(I think I missed a few pages of the thread somewhere, it may have been mentioned, if so sorry)

I just noticed I've played more Borderlands in the past week than I have Fallout 3 in the past... whatever it's been since it came out. Food for thought.

Dunno, I am not very impressed with it. Yeah, this kind of shader for graphics is neat, features are quite nice and it's a cool grindmachine, but the world is quite linear so it looks like you're playing on a monorail; also a lot of running back and forth.

I'd say it's enjoyable but not perfect.
