I tried doing the double shot thing with Mordecai. I have the skill in it, but it never seems to proc, even with other weapons.

I've been leveling up my Roland character. He owns with shotguns.

It only works with pistols, and they work best with mashers. I think at max level, they have a 20% rate to proc, and you can augment that with class mods.

Mashers are good, but it can turn some repeater pistols into a tiny handheld minigun.

I was always carrying around a machine pistol on my mordecai. If shit hit the fan, I just pulled it out, aimed for the head, and unleashed a shower of lead. It was glorious. Burned through ammo like crazy though.

Might try doing another playthrough, maybe as Roland this time.

It's been a few years now, but I was utterly in love with my 4x SMG at the time (and that's while using the sniper class).  No idea what it was called... but the last boss was kind of a total joke once I whipped that bad boy out.

My Brick has a level 21 skill in shotguns. Boomsticks FTW. (Mostly because I found a random green explosive shotgun early in the game, was still better than anything else I had until at least New Haven.)

Double Anarchies. They are basically automatic shotguns. In craw runs they are the preferred method of dealing damage.

Am I...three years late to the party? Me and my friend recently "got" this and the DLC and it's pretty fun. Does anyone here still actually play this?

Occasionally. If people host a friendly server here, usually, someone signs up and joins the fun.

I played it semi-regularly until the game DELETED ALL MY LOCAL SAVES. two level 69's, a 45, and a 35 down the toilet.

Just sayin' back up your saves. Seriously.

Took me forever and a few deaths to kill Sledge with the Siren, Hunter and Soldier. With Brick, It took me 5 seconds. 7 actually, he did his shockwave thing...

Sledge was easy, siren you run around doing phasewalk to go behind him and blast him, soldier run around and blast him dropping turret as a decoy, Hunter...... well hope you can aim good :D

I need to get back into it and finish up the General Knoxx DLC with my Brick. Had a co-op game going with 2 RL friends, but it kinda fell by the wayside. It's definitely more fun (read: more challenging) with more people, because the game scales up as you add players. And going from 2 players to 3 players is a major bump up. MOAR everything and phatter lewt.

Gonna restart this game soon, since I bought all DLCs cheap in a Steam sale.

First time I played with Hunter. Everyone tells me Hunter is underpowered. Is that true? I hated Brick since rocket launchers are stupid and his Berserkiness just tends to get you killed. When I tried using Siren her power duration was TOO short and couldn't be used often enough, and IIRC she wasn't all that great with standard weapons.

Guess I'll go with the Soldier dude.
