If your shield is made out of diamond, wouldn't you be able to just sell it and live happily ever after?

I suppose I could, but having an impenetrable shield is really awesome.
Besides, it's possible that I come from a place that doesn't attribute great value to diamonds.

I was talking about the arrows stinking in the shield 300 style.  That bugged me, because I figured if the arrows are sticking through the shield, some of them have to hit your forearm on the other side.

It applies to Spartan men, but slightly differently. Their forearms are made out of pure refined phlebotinum alloy with unobtanium reinforced with unexistium.

Those shields were really thin.
Typically, if an arrow sticks in a shield without piercing the forearm, it's a wooden shield.

I think the rule of cool applies here as well, but I'm about to go to sleep and too lazy in general to link stuff.

Aqizzar, I might be forgetful of my history class, but didn't the Spartans have the best weapons and armor in ancient Greece?

Show me your best bronze shield. I'll show you my longbow that will easily penetrate it.

The Spartans and Englishmen didn't exist at the same time, I think...

"Oh yeah, I know how you guys feel. I'm That guy in Life. Best looks, perfect hair/teeth, athletic scholarship, 6.0 GPA, went to Harvard, Yale, and Duke, I've won 3 academy awards, various awards from the army and navy including 2 purple hearts, and I simply excel in everything electronic. I even invented the stanky leg. It's really embarrassing."

Oh, how I wish I could be That Girl. As it stands I am just reinforcing the stereotype that girls are bad at games. :-[
However, I am rather mean when it comes to flight simulators. Dogfights just seem to work naturally for me.
