Fake edit: Got beaten to it.

I've tried to get Visual Fortress running, but it doesn't support d16, and it seems I can't get reveal.exe running. :/

Real edit: Animal spawn is random. I got elephants when trying to reveal and 3D the island.

Ok, that's it: df16-4x5.rar

Please keep in mind that my game is "somewhat modded" in case of metals/minerals/reactions and HFS. ;-)

So,
1. Copy your DF _d16 into other folder. (or backup the old one)
2. Delete RAW and DATA folders there.
3. Decompress archive replacing the DATA and RAW folders.

Have fun. ;-)

I'd rather just have the worldgen; landmasses tend to remain the same across multiple versions, it's the specifics that change.

Case in point; the previous two islands generate fine for me despite me having extensively modded my game, i just get different biomes and stones.

Apologies for the bad url.  All I've noticed so far are some lungfish crawling about.  There are some pests (I've seen flies and dragonflies), as well.

Sorry for that, i don't remember the seeds, and the game doesn't export "map and gen info" from legends - created files are zero length.

*upd*: I've suddenly run out of free disk space, so it's my fault.
Wait a minute, i'll post gen info.

???

I am not even trying!  ???

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Strange thing though, I cant get through to legends. I get stuck at 'importing world'. :/

it looks grate, and the evil lake makes it even better, if someone tryed it, could you tell what can be found? (ores/sand) or even post a 3D picture or a map of the embark on the map repository?
(just about curiosity 'cause i can't play until october a lot ...)

This map is pretty boring.  I spawned in the north east corner and quickly set about building a small wooden hamlet.  The only entities on the whole island were 3 elephants all who ran off the island on the bridge I made.  I've never seen any other creatures, never gotten a caravan and no enemies to speak of.  The population of my town is now 10 :P  I've not done too much mining since I really have no reason to.

Island embarks, by definition, are pretty boring. That's basically the entire point.

Does the bridge go to land you kept connected?  Or is it just to the edge of the map.  Does a bridge to the edge of the map if you're surrounded by water increase the chances of a caravan?

It's just off the edge of the map, I added a link to my previous post

Yeah I know...  but a man can dream can't he?  I think it's actually in a lake so I was hoping for some evil fish or something!  And my old 2D reaction to the elephants didn't last long since they all left :(
