Modding Emigrants

Is it possible to mod the ammount of Emigrants that come each season, or is that hard coded?

Immigrants.

The only ones who emigrate in DF are wild animals.

The closest you can get to toning down immigration is to reduce value of stuff, thus reducing fort wealth, the main power behind immigration.

Or open up data/init/init.txt, find [POPCAP:>fuzz<] and change it appropriately. It's not 100% foolproof, but if you really wanna get rid of them extra immigrants you could kill 'em.

The best way is to trade lots and have a high fortress wealth. You'll get more trade caravans too. I suppose you could if your willing to re-gen mod in a reaction to produce some valuable materials for crafting stuff out of.

Ok, I'll just make a metric crapton of platinum things and give em to traders....Oh, and Hey Vattic. ;D

Hello JFloyd. I just checked the wiki and I'm now not so sure if you need to give them to the traders, perhaps make statues and make sure the wealth is displayed. Anyone else know more about this?
