or at least the name of the algorithm that is used to find the checksum
Seconded.
Third'ed.

Hey guys. I just got back in town and I'm bushed. I will catch up with the requests and what not tomorrow. Oh great, another version to test  :-\

I'm taking off work tomorrow so hopefully I can knock some of these out.

I'm pretty darn sure it's just MD5.

Well, you're doing a great job - thanks for fixing #63 so speedily. That was bugging me (*is OP on that issue*).

GUI bug: siege operator displayed in pump operator tooltips.
I was not able to reproduce this bug. If it persists please open a ticket for it with exact steps to repro, and a screenshot of the bug.

Is there a way to activate an entire category (for instance, all gem labors, or all hauling) with a single click?  If not, I'd recommend that feature: making it so that you can enable/disable a column set the same way as a skill.

(I regularly enable or disable hauling on certain dwarves.  Clicking 8 times per dwarf sucks.)

This is an excellent idea. Maybe a clickable area that spans the columns of a set. It will require some custom drawing but could be awesome. I would love a toggle for all hauling etc... Would you mind opening a feature request for it, so I don't forget?

I'll be working on 40d14 today. And it's not really an algorithm per se. It just finding the PE header of the exe and reading the compile timestamp. The checksum is just the date the exe was built and it is encoded into the file. It just a way of identifying versions but there is no MD5 or CRC. For the curious here is the code that finds the checksum: http://code.google.com/p/dwarftherapist/source/browse/trunk/src/dfinstance.cpp#109

Thank you sir. #63 was one of the stupidest bugs I've ever created.

I don't know if this is possible, but I'd like those features
changing a dorfs' stats(strenght,etc)
changing it's skills level (changing a dabbling dwarf in a legendary one)
healing\hurting a dwarf (so we can torture those nobles)
assigning animals to legendary warriors

yes, I know these are cheats, but you can just not use them.

I honestly don't know if chmod will ever be implementing features like this or not, but you do know that there are already multiple applications that do this, yes?

There is only a healing hack which works rarely.

If you aren't using the 40d# builds, then Dwarf Companion and Dtil work great.  I've been using both of them for one of my crazier megaprojects.

For the 40d# builds they don't have the correct memory locations.  But you can copy your safe to a 40d build, use the utility, and then copy it back.

I'm just saying that when I use this with the Mayday mod (40D11) it sometimes gives me an error saying that it doesn't recognize the version, but after some tries, it goes through.

There is a similar issue with the Visual Fortress utility.

Also, the features in this definetly look pretty cool, but it's kind of confusing to understand what with all the stuff.

Oh yea, could you make a way to expand the name column? The size I use makes only part of the last name show and for some tags (or longer names), only part of the first name shows.

I got a bit tied up today, but I did manage to make config file for d14.

name this v0.28.181.40d14.ini and throw it in the etc directory
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

And add this line under the [checksum_to_version] section of game_data.ini
Code: [Select]
0x4a8623d2 = v0.28.181.40d14
