How are dwarves sorted on the list?

Ideally, I would like a list that sorts by professions : Show everyone with 'Mining' enabled first, show everyone with one of the Carpentry enabled 2nd, and so on and so forth. Similar to the unit list in DF, except sorted by ACTIVE professions instead of their highest skills.

What to do with multiple professions then? Take the first?

Exactly.

It's a minor annoyance and explaining it kicks in my OCD tendancies. But that's how I, personally, would prefer sorting. If I'm the only one then I wouldn't say code it in, but if others like that then I'd say it helps :)

I'd say, sorting by ANY column is better. You click desired column (name/age/gender) and the units are sorted. If it's a profession colums, then it's a list of those who have the profession enabled from the highest skill to lowest, and then (separate color/separator line?) a list of those with this profession disabled, again sorted from max. skill in it to the lowest.

I like that option. I vote for this!

Why do I get a UAC elevation prompt when I run the program?
Because it directly reads and writes from/to the memory of another process.

That makes sense, but why don't any of the other DF Utilities require it?  Seems kind of odd.

I don't know, I turn UAC off so I never noticed others don't need it. Its possible they use a different method to inject the new data.

Dwarf Manager doesn't trigger a UAC prompt.

Because it needs to access your webcam to watch you masturbate. Duh.

But actually, it's a compiler flag I left on while tracking down a Vista bug. I'll get rid of it in the next version.

UAC is a shit. Really, get Windows 7, Vista is a major phail (it works, but it was promised to be much better, also it has a few major faults :)).

That makes no sense, Win7 has UAC as well. At least RC1 does, I haven't gotten my hands on RTM yet as it won't be available for a little while through legal channels.

The UAC in Windows 7 is handled different (or rather the default options are different). As such it is relatively easy for software to programatically elevate privileges without requiring any input from the user, or in fact without prompting them or logging to anywhere at all. The fact this is a clear security flaw has been documented and so is officially a feature :)

Shades, why would they leave a massive security hole for no apparent reason when it's very visible? Microsoft programmers aren't idiots, they are going to have protection for that.
