(i'm playing through linux emulation on bsd, and it'll be kind of tricky to build linux binaries on bsd, and i think that native bsd binary won't work)

Whenever i read the "doesn't care about anything anymore" line, i instantly imagine a dwarf, sitting alone on a swing set. Just slowly rocking back and forth, somberly staring at the ground, and stopping every once in a while to sigh.
It's mildly depressing.

So how do I get DT 0.5.7 to work with DF 0.31.12, again?

It doesn't appear to have a new maintainer; however, for now it still works for any of the newest versions of DF.  The easiest way to keep up with the new versions of DF is likely to grab the Lazy Newb Pack.  The version of DF in there should stay compatible with DT.

Can anybody do the memory layouts for the new version, or at least explain how I could do it myself? I can't enjoy .13 until I have DT D:

Maybe it's not that the format changed, but...  DT seems unable to read some of DF's memory now.  The "READ" button is often not working for 31.13, anyway.  D=

Edit: Or maybe another game I had been playing somehow interfered with DT via having been open earlier.  I don't know.  Someone else should try.

That was the only progress I got.  Crud.  And I tried to figure things out manually, but DT refused to use the READ function on much of the data in 31.13...

It's not unusual for it to take a little while to catch DT up with new releases. Give it a little time.
