Try checking the logfile? Turn on tracing? Tell me what version of DF you're using?

Which logfile and where would it be located? I was running DT from the top level of the Hg clone with ./bin/release/DwarfTherapist

For tracing, do you mean strace/ltrace against DT?

Dwarf Fortress version: 0.31.05 for Linux.

Using strace I discovered that DT was trying to create a logfile in a log directory that did not exist. So created that directory and caught some logging.

Peculiarly it's no longer acting as it did before, but doesn't seem to connect (i.e it doesn't seem get as far as the prior failure point). That is: I hit the connect to DF button, and there's no apparent reaction in the GUI (i.e the connect button doesn't grey out). The GUI still responds, and I can exit normally. I enclose the log:

Huin, thanks for helping out. It's good to see someone else got it working on Linux, more support on that later.

Any plans on the horizon to add anything army related? At least a sort function with list of military skills.

The reason I personally need a utility like Dwarf Therapist is to sort out my dwarves by military skill to see who's hot, who's not, and plan out my squads and commanders. Labour I pretty much set on immigration wave.

What did you have to change? I fetched the source today. It compiled and ran fine but it wont connect to the game (31.05 linux).
