For anyone having problems with DwarfTherapist and DF 31.04...

It would appear that running DT as Administrator helps.
I haven't had any issues since I started running it as Admin.

Oddly enough this works for me.

btw I'm using win7 64bit

This is very strange. I'm wondering if the new builds of DF are using some new type of page-guards on its RAM. I may have to put some new code in that bitches about not running as administrator if this keeps up.

Thanks for the reports guys.

Ran both DF and DT as admin on Vista, same issue, DT can't connect to DF after a while.  I doubt it's the root cause.

Mine has now started working again  :o
The only change in the game I can think of is going from 59 to 40 dwarves, and one of my two mayors was killed.

I think it's just inconsistent, so a lot of things *seem* like they affect it.

Have you guys tried launching DT with your left hand on the mouse? Worked for me.

But seriously, I'm looking into this.

I am using 0.5.1 with an updated INI  and the SDL .04 release and it works great for me, without being in admin mode.  0.5.2 has massive problems connecting and working =/  Especially when a liaison is at my fort.

Meh, I wouldn't even be surprised if that solves someones problem, as I have old computer (500 MHz with 16 Mb RAM) which wont start if I don't kick it with left foot wooden shoes. Yes, it requires left shoe, right one doesn't affect a damn...  :o

Is there any chance of us being able to view (not manipulate or anything, just view) the military skills on a grid anytime soon?

I cant find the original link to the file, nor am in a place where i can upload it... However if you copy the following code, save it to a text file and rename it to gridviews.dtg and then in DT go to File >> Import Grid Views youll be pleasantly suprised

That is a lot of extra information that really helps out a lot.

 Thanks very much.

Hope that this will be integrated into DT as a permanent feature

This actually does fix all the problems I was having at the moment, I am sure there are more but still a good start. Thank you.

It looks like the only difference between that INI and the one that shipped with 0.5.2 is the creature vector being at 0x016786fc. So that's refreshing :)

I've read through all the posts since 0.5.2 came out, and over on the dedicated forum, but I haven't seen if anyone has successfully mapped the .04 legacy mode yet.  (This would be the one with checksum: 0x4befdde5)

If I'm missing it, just point me to the post, if not, what's the wait?

I like to play with tilesets, but I'm forced to use legacy to do so, and yet the .04 does have some bugfixes I want.  Any news?
