Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

I just found a very minor flaw of this program: A dwarf with skill level 2 in Mechanics (just as an example) is listed as "Mechanic", but in DF 2010 the no-label skill level is now called "adequate", therefore it should read "Adequate Mechanic".

Apart from this and stuff already reported (like the tanning/leatherworking issue), this program is just great. Not that it couldn't be improved, but it makes DF just so much more fun to play. Great job!

As dwarves slowly lose their stats over time it's natural for them to get fatter as they age because there's no activities to train healing rate.
so dwarves that die of old age in DF dont get shriveled and weak, but huge round masses of meat and fat that explode spectacularly upon their final birthday?

I sure do.  It's just adding to the confusion of the military snafu.  I've no idea if they're even gaining skill now lol.

Indeed, it is amazing how much is dwarf fortress unsuitable for dwarf management :)
Thanks a lot for the Dwarf TheRapist, chmod!

Btw. is in current version possible to see which dwarfes are in military, so I dont assign labors to them? (it is no big deal, I can always rename them, but I was just wondering)

Working good here.

Labor 213 is Tan a Hide, if anybody else wants to add it to the config.

edit game_data.ini

find

[dwarf_jobs]
size=212

change 212 to 213

then find

212/type

and add these two lines after it

213/name = "Tan a Hide"
213/type = BUILD

I'm not sure that's correct.  I'm showing job 213 for two of my dwarves, who are actually performing two different tasks.  The common element for all 3?  They're in the reaction_other file.  Both of my dwarves are performing custom tasks, and in the vanilla raws, tan a hide is in reaction_other.

Hmm, that is unfortunate. I suppose I'll call it custom reaction for now.

Working great, chmod. Only thing I've noticed is that every once in a while there will be a non-child migrant that shows up that I can't get Therapist to change their abilities for a while. I can still add/remove jobs in the game (which has been my work-around), but DT won't acknowledge any clicks on their row. It generally tends to sort itself out over the course of a season.

I've noticed it seems to only happen on the dwarves that show up with lots of experience but no skills enabled, so it might not be a DT issue, but a result of the bug making them show up and pitch all their equipment on the ground.

Just thought I would give you a heads up on that.

(There is a story behind this. . .)

This is an Alder Omelette. All craftsdwarfship is of highest quality. It is encircled with bands of cheese. It menaces with spikes of bacon, ham, and peppers. On the object is an image of dwarves in egg white. The dwarves are eating.
