That would be nice. Actually, what would be even better is that if DwarfTherapist recognized someone who scanned the memory and found the offsets, then it could automatically upload the data to a central server that all clients could read from... then it would only take the first person scanning to update all clients. Of course now that it's not being maintained that probably won't happen

Anyway, I've been searching quite a bit and haven't seen anyone post the linux offsets. I'm using a precompiled 0.5.5 version and the scan memory button does nothing, so I can't get them myself.

Unfortunately, anything that can be abused will be abused. It could work if there were central control over the data that was being uploaded.

Edit: I'm going to have a bath and consider implementing this.

It could parse the data off the wiki

It wouldn't be abused much, all it would be doing is loading values and if the values were wrong the worst that could happen is a crash.

No single person would be in control, viva wiki.

I don't pay for the wiki bandwidth, so I would not like to assume it could be used for this.

Really, I still don't see why we can't just have a rule of "first to update his DT uploads the whole bitch", so there's no necessity for everyone to go running after offsets and whatnot :/

This'll be alot easier had someone taken the initiative to step up and maintain this. If anyone of you would be as generous enough as to doing so, I'm sure the entire community would be grateful.

I think that, unless Chmod decides to update the OP, someone should make a new thread with the same OP, BUT have the newest offsets ready to use right on the first post.
