Stacker

If you've been to certain bars, malls, or arcades, you might have run into a game called "Stacker", where the objective is to stack digital blocks ontop of eachother in order to form a tower, and building the tower to the very top of the game will cause the game to dispense a prize of your choice. At first glance, this contraption seems only to be a carnival-difficulty money sink that is impossible to win, reinforced by the fact that very expensive prizes are available, such as PSP's and DS's.

My cousin, however, has found that he is very talented at the game, and over the last few months of casual play, has won 2 PSP's and 3 DS's. From what I can imagine, he's only spent around 40~ dollars for what amounts to 600~ dollars worth of merchandise.

He doesn't play them, nor does he try to sell them for profit, instead he just hoards them as souvenirs of his victory over the game.

This is crazy, I should try out those games sometime, cause he won't give me one!

I've never spent THAT much on a stacker. I now have a policy which involves giving my wallet to a trusted friend whenever I go somewhere where I'm tempted to spend too much.

I've gotten to the minor prize a fair number of times, but never all the way to the top. :(

Why won't he give you a DS? That's kind of a dick move, if you ask me.

COMPLAIN TO THE DEVICE THAT CREATED HIM THAT HE IS DEFECTIVE AND, IN FACT, A POOPHEAD WHO'S POOP IS ALSO A BUTT.

I would understand why if he was planning on selling them, or something. But simply to hoard them? What was Dante's ring of hell for greedy people again? Crushed between the weight of their own possessions, or something?

Eh, I'm being harsh. It seems excessive to hoard them though :P Also, what Jack said. I think.

What is this drivel?
You can win those infernal contraptions?
I couldn't count the times I have gotten to the last row and missed by damn microseconds, screaming KHAN aloud to show distaste towards these computerized bastards.

What's this guys trick.
Does he bribe the machine?
Threaten?
God-forbid, does he sexually pleasure the robot for the goods?

Because these cannot be winnable.
There was a set of fancy electronics in the one where i lived for a year, and they never were claimed.

Your friend is either a sorcerer or a wizard.
Perhaps a magus. Hell, I'd even believe he was a Magister.

But he can not be mortal man if he can win at stacker.
That would be simply mad.

He does have a good technique, as I've seen him play before. Most people try to form the tower in the middle, but he tries to form it on the side, where it's easier to get the rhythm down.

These machines are in Chuckie Cheeses too, right?  How the heck could a child beat it let alone a drunk adult?
