It's an old rusty thing that's supposed to be more of a support ship then a battleship on it's own.

Appears to be a twinbeam... Massively oversized so that it doesn't line up.

It is supposed to be at least combat ready, and it has a giant glass jaw.  It's like a giant fragmentation grenade.  You just have to hit the core enough, and boom, pieces of warship everywhere.
