I can't speak for other factions, but in the 4th age, the reason Gondor starts in economic collapse is because half the kingdom has split off from them and declared war. I beat their ass so hard for that.

I've never seen you use more than one exclamation mark in a row. Are you feeling alright?

Hey. I think I speak for everyone when I say that everyone who's played Medieval 2 has at one point or another, attempted to recreate the battles of Middle Earth. I'm excited to be able to do so!

Sorry. I just have this habit of failing my sarcasm check every time someone actually is sarcastic. Anyway. The 4th age is good. I just wish I had a good enough computer to run MTW:II so I could play the 3rd age. Looks awesome.

It is pretty awesome, though sadly the Mumakil don't send guys flying hundred of feet through the air like they do in the rome mod.

I'm actually partial to Ologhai myself. When they charge through the smaller units to get into the fray it looks hilarious. Especially in cities and tight areas.

just a question... during a siege, when you asked the enemy to surrender, did they ever accept?
No. I tested it by playing as russia, building several stacks full of soldiers, stationing them all around one tiny backwater town, trading it france, sieging it and demanding surrender. Out of 5 reloads, they refused 5 time.

The button is there for show, or so they can demand another $10 for "halfway decent AI".

Wow, the amount of work and effort that went into the Third Age mod is way more than I expected. I'm very impressed.

Well keep in mind that they already had most of their artwork done since it's based on the movies.  They just had to create the assets.  Not saying that's not difficult and time consuming, but so is designing art.

Bah, I downloaded it all excited then realized I needed the Kingdoms expansion to play it. :(

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

I was playing the Fourth Age (LOTR mod for R:TW) and I just found out something awesome about the Olog-hai.

They can batter down gates.

This thread is now about LOTR TW mods.

In the 4th age mod too. So very awesome. Though the elves win, if only for their ability to totally rip enemies apart at ridiculous distances. They're still all hippy bastards though.
