One of my first Adventuring experiences
« on: July 16, 2009, 03:04:50 pm »

My brother and I started playing a bunch of adventurer mode last night.

I just watched my brother. He was in a town. He walked around as messages of combat happened every step. When he realized one of the messages said "Guard has been struck down by carp" he immeadiately started searching for the river. By the time he found it, about half the town had been killed or drowned by the school of carp in their river

He then proceeded to jump in, and singlehandedly kill carp after carp, steadily moving downstream in the current. Sliced up carp drifted downstream with the rest of the group, the water full of blood. He killed two dozen carp by the time one finally got a chunk of his throat. Another got a grip on his eye, and proceeded to tear it straight from his face. Pages upon pages later of desperate but fruitless sword swinging, gurgled drowning sounds, and carp tearing more and more chunks from his body, 'Adriaran' Inchsplash finally died.

It was quite epic.

My simultainious tale of recruiting a band of 4 to assist me (an axeman, a maceman, a lasher, and a pikeman) and then all of us getting brutally killed by a titan each in the same way (knocked down, hit in the head so that our heads were smashed into our bodies, and thrown across the map in one hit) is not nearly as epic

Though this morning I had an exciting wrestling match with a giant. I won :D

Try and wrestle a bronze colossus. Now that is fun. Plus breaking their limbs snaps them off so its effective too.

Colossus? That's nothing. Try wrestling a child. I tried broking his arm, but he broke my grip and gauged my eyes so I bled out. Crap.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

One of my first experience was shocking/comedic one. Long story made short, was battleing a scorpion and at some point he took my helmet (can it possible to get deequiped?) and started bashing me on my fingers head stomach till i was uncouncioss, but that didn't stop him from doing his thing...

I actually had the same thing happen to me.

Giant Scorpion grabbed my waterskin (yes, with its claws). It then beat me to death with it.

Apparently all monsters take relish in beating you to death with your own gear.

Also, +dwarf tallow biscuit+ IS PEOPLE! +dwarf tallow biscuit+ IS PEOPLE!

I remember severing a giant scorpion's tail from its body and being excited at the prospect of using it to sting things. No such luck.
