CTHULHU!!

Ia! Ia! Shub-Niggurath the black goat of the woods with a thousand young!

Hmm. Now I have another idea. How'd one make a Star-Spawn of Cthulhu or a Shoggoth?

I'm working on it, but I' like someone to collaborate with, because it's a pretty big task to do on my own (making a CoC DF)

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Don't look at me! The first time I tried modding DF, it spat out errors!

Though, isn't there a creature somewhere that resembles a shoggoth?

Well, someone else created a partial CoC DF, but stopped halfway and his mods are full of inconsistencies and horrible, horrible flaws. Nothing else resembles a shoggoth (In Vanilla), to the best of my knowledge.

I could probably help with that.
I'm good at debugging the DF code.
If you need any help, just pm me with what you need.

Excuse me, sirs.
I wish to create an eight-armed, four-legged war beast that can destroy anything it touches with it's ten-tile heat aura.
And it must be made from adamantine.
Can you help me, by any chance?

Only in DF could the answer to that be "Yes".

ein, the thing is, my modding works just fine, I don't get many errors in my code at all, but I'd like someone to take on half the work so that it doesn't take me forever to do.

...Oh, dear.  Maybe making such a mod isn't a good idea, it's probably not good for one's sanity. :o

I'm talking about the bronze colossus. It's supposed to be made entirely of bronze.
But really he's just a softie inside. They all are really. When megabeasts come to your fort you never welcome them inside and give them a hug, do you. You heartless bastards...

Question: other than the prefstrings and such, does granting a creature wings and flight affect gameplay?

Besides the obvious.

ein, I'll get on it. I'll send you 2 or 3 per week while I get on with what I'm doing. Also, is it possible to craft statues that will drive dwarves instantly mad to behold them?
