(Could we have a name for this city? It's always confusing to just call it "city")
During the primetime news broadcast, the anchor appears rather confused at her prompter, but tells the story regardless.
"Earlier today, the Liberation force known as Arkham United gave a mass demonstration today, parading through the streets in a peaceful march from Mid-City to the ruins of City Hall, now under repairs after a mysterious bombing earlier in the week, which has been attributed to the same group. At the front of the march was the group's apparent leader, Nathan Ritter. The only thing resembling weapons were the signs carried by the hundreds, all reading "Avenge Arkham!"
"We go now to reporter Patricia Felix, on the scene outside of City Hall. Patricia?"
"Yes, I'm standing here in front of City Hall, where the demonstration by Arkham United arrived just moments ago. Nathan Ritter has left the crowd, and is walking up the steps! He appears to have been handed a microphone; he's speaking now, we'll try to record it from this distance."
"People, I know what you might think! You might think, why are you doing this, Ritter? We lived a quiet life, and you've come here and destroyed that with your petty attempt at revenge! Why, you may ask? I will tell you that Arkham enjoyed the same peace as you, until your government decided that they should ruin our beautiful city! You've seen the posters, the murals, and I will tell you that all of them captured the moment perfectly; no one was safe, what little that is left of our city is a pathetic, smoldering ruin! I ask you, citizens, have your leaders told you their reasons for invading our city? No, they have not! They have hidden behind excuses and lies now, for too long! People, we are not here to destroy your lives, we are here to ensure that no lives are destroyed again by the men and women of your government!
That is why I make a request, nay, a demand of your leaders! Step down, and we will open talks to discuss your unconditional surrender, and the democratic elections this nation deserves! Would you have your people suffer for your greed? Would you be willing to destroy all that you have to defend your petty and corrupt choices! Would you let this city die so that you may live?! Your people do not live, they exist! Do you know what I say? I say we LET! THEM! LIVE!"
"Wow. Well, there you have it, that was live from City Hall, Nathan Ritter."
The anchor appears rather uncertain on how to proceed.
"Um...well, after the break, are your dog's shampoos deteriorating their skin? Stay tuned and find out!"
