((I understand Anti-Paragon. I can't tell you how many times I was like... 'Alright, my gnome architect finally made it to level 8. Now the fun begins... oh, crap. What the heck is a lecrotta? -Dies-'. You'll be more than welcome to rejoin us. I honestly expected you to win that fight, but it was just a sequence of very unfortunate hits against you.
So, when you're ready, we'll probably still be here, killin' unsuspecting adventurers left and right. To be honest, I'm amazed Cius is still alive.
Anyways, here's the turn:))
Day 3, Turn 7:Order: Mr. Person (4!), Creeper (3!), Dwarmin (6!); New order: Dwareet'ik, Cius, Creeper
Dwarmin-
(Healing, mundane:5!+2, 1!+1 healing herbs) You quickly wrap your wound with the healing poultice and bandage, ensuring that it is cleaned properly first. You use some of your water doing so, but at least you should no longer run a risk of infection with your leg properly treated. Your leg feels a little better already but it's somewhat stiff in the bandage and you won't be able to move quite as fast. (+1 to Recovery rolls for bandaged limb)
(Observation check:4!) You go and check on the fallen zombie goat and approach the putrid carcass. It is indeed dead. Or is it re-dead. Either way, it's not moving and you begin carting the body back towards the quarry. You realize it would be easier to just dump it in from above and do so, saving yourself a trip down the slope and back up.
You return to where you were after that, keeping a weather eye open and begin following the trail of blood. It leads north along the edge of the slope for a good ways. (Track:1!) But then the blood trail is gone and you lose track of what path you want to take. You're a ways north of the skull fortress now, north-west of the zombies you had been hunting earlier.
(+2 Healing (mundane) exp., gained one rotten mountain goat corpse in the quarry.)
Recovery roll:1!+1 Your leg begins to ache a little with the exertion.
Cius-
(Meditation:6!,6!) You easily slip into a meditative trance, thinking back in your mind to what you've heard and discovered about the dwarven artifact. You recall that it had been originally connected to a prophesy when it had been first made, and that it had come true already. No one ever mentioned that it might have any sort of special powers though. Which is a shame. Still, it's a nice thing, and quite sturdy. You're sure that any dwarf would be pleased to see it.
You then wake yourself out of your trance. That went remarkably well.
(+2 Appraisal skill, +2 Meditation skill)
Recovery roll:5! You feel refreshed after that meditation although you are now thirsty. You might be able to stand now and move about, but you'd be quite slow.
Creeper-
(Sneak:2!+1) (Detection:4!) (Observation check:1!) You begin sneaking in the other direction when you all of a sudden hear movement behind you. You look back and see a single sentry moving purposefully towards you moving half-hidden among the boulders. You can't tell if he's alerted anyone else.
You quickly change direction and try to set up a sort of ambush. (Stealth:3!+1) (Detection:4!) There are no trees nearby that you can climb so you find a relatively clear patch of ground and hide yourself behind a boulder. He pops up where you were shortly thereafter, appearing somewhat confused when he can no longer see you. You surprise him by launching an arrow at him. (moderate distance)
(Attack:4!) (Dodge:1!) (Location:5!) (Damage:4!) (Resistance:1!) The arrow sinks deep into his right arm and he grimaces, losing hold of his iron buckler, which clatters to the ground. He goes a slight shade of green paler when he begins to feel the effects of the poison in his system but charges you nonetheless.
You loose another arrow at him as he closes with you. (Attack:2!) But it goes wide.
You manage to squeeze off another shot as he begins approaching point blank range. (Attack:2!+1 distance) (Dodge:4!) But he manages to sidestep it at the last moment, bringing his iron scourge to bear against you, lashing out at you.
(Attack:4!) (Dodge:5!) Fortunately for you, you nimbly step out of the way and nock another arrow, firing it at him.
(Attack:2!) The arrow misses, shattering against the ground behind him.
He lashes out at you again. (Attack:1!) But misses.
You fire. (Attack:6!,3!) (Dodge:4!) (Location:2!) (Damage:3!) (Resistance:4!) The arrow lodges in his other arm, numbing his hand and causing him to drop the weapon. He manages to resist the poison but is unarmed. He realizes his peril now and goes to alert the camp, running from you swiftly, shouting all the way in a rapid goblin tongue.
(Attack:5!) (Dodge:5!) (Location:5!) (Damage:1!) (Resistance:6!,5!) You send an arrow after him and it nicks his right leg as he runs but he doesn't slow.
You send another arrow after him before he can duck behind a boulder and out of your sight. (Attack:2!) You miss and quickly nock another, firing.
(Attack:6!,3!) (Dodge:1!) (Location:2!) (Damage:6!,5!) The arrow pierces his left arm, it is broken. (Luck:5!) The arrow pierces his chest and lodges in it. He goes down in pain and you quickly advance on him.
He is not moving as you approach but he seems to be breathing. He appears to have passed out due to pain. You pull out your hunting knife and quickly end his life. It's possible that someone may have heard the noise he was making and will come to investigate.
(+2 Dodge exp., +5 Archery exp., +1 Backstab exp. (for Coup de Grace), lost 8 arrows, some of which may be recoverable.
Oh, and tehstefan, you're up. I'll give you until Thursday morning to post. I've sent a pm. Dragnar, approved and on the list.
