Actually, I brought the rat back for the group. It's not butchered, though - I'd probably eat it as-is. So: "Goblin catch you breakfast, nice tasty rat!"

Anyway, I'll gnaw on the rat a bit to keep my strength up, then accompany Reece exploring, as though it were normal for a goblin to keep such company.

I can butcher the rat Groveller-no one else even has a point in butchery other than me at the moment. Take a leg to gnaw on, and I'll get to work on it.

If you'll let me have it, of course!

May I humbly request we butcher more of the animals we've killed? there were three or so, perhaps getting them all and preparing them would be best. That way we could have more food.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

Agreed, we need as much food as we can get.

Where should we head next? I'm not entirely sure what all we have explored.

Well, the way you came is out so the only way out is forward. Go explore, probably around the crafting hall to start and look for food and drink production. Alcohol does not go off, so if you find alcohol stores you can refill drinks there. Plus you might find the farms and that means water, or at least a well.

You have very little food here and no water, so ONWARD!! Plus it may open up spots in the waiting list.  ;D

Okay, bring me all the rat corpses, I'll get started on butchering everything.

I would have bumped, but now I'm all paranoid about being too impatient.
You see what you've done to me?!

Yeah, yeah. I know. Sorry.

Heh.

I'm actually in the process of moving this week, on top of teaching labs, grading and getting my own work done so I just don't have time. I'll try to pick it up again next week. Thanks for being patient.

Now our game enters it's darkest hour-the GM is busy.  :(
Will he come back? Will he not? Perhaps in the interim he will think "Nay, just let...it die"!
Or perhaps the players will lose sight of the goal-life is fleeting, no? And the game...will die.
Maybe the players will clamor and shout, and chain down Paulus to the game like a sinking ship. Such a ploy breeds resentment...and the game...will die.

In the end, no game lives forever. But I can say, in all truth, that this game lived a full life.

Well, here's how things stand...

I'm busy.

Oh, and I have a dissertation I need to write before fall.

So, plan on fewer updates for a while.
