Day 6, Turn 1: Order:Ajax(2!), Dwareet'ik (1!,6!,6!), Reece (3!,1!), Dragnar (1!,6!,2!), The goblin (3!,3!); New Order: The goblin, Reece, Ajax, Dwareet'ik, Dragnar
The goblin-
(Butchery:6!,1!) Since you're awake and getting hungry you figure you might as well start in on the rat corpse you brought the others. You don't think they will mind and soon you're hacking it to pieces. Quite gleefully in fact. It even makes you feel a little better. You're careful not to invoke your Mistress and begin feasting on the flesh. It's quite tasty, though it has a somewhat sour and greasy flavor. You're busy sating yourself when you hear thuds coming from the doorway and soon the human emerges. Cringing you quickly offer him some of the rat meat which he gratefully accepts, though from the look on his face he's having a little harder time eating it.
Soon the two of your are exploring the main crafts hall again. (Observation check:4!) You notice to your pleasure that there is an abundance of tools and implements left here pertaining to the various crafts. The hall is large. On the east side are the doors leading down to the forge areas, whence you came. Opposite you is a set of broken doors leading up to the trade hall and next to them and a little south is a single door, unopened. To the north is another set of broken doors leading into the large central hall which is largely unexplored as of yet. On the stairways up is the lever room you passed but with so many levers who knows what they all do. The unexplored regions consist of the great hall and the single door on the south-west side of the room.
+1 Butchery exp.
Recovery roll:1! You pull a muscle in your injured arm when you accidentally hack into a bone.
Reece-
You wake up and begin removing the heavy bins from in front of the door. It takes a little while but when you open them you see your goblin 'pet' who, though he looks guilty, offers you some chunks of the large demon rat corpse he seems to be hacking apart and devouring. You hesitantly take the meat and begin eating. (Fortitude check:1!) You feel somewhat nauseous as you begin eating the sour meat. It's not in an advanced state of decay but it's certainly not palatable. (Had it been more decayed the results would have been worse.)
(Luck:5!) You manage to keep your breakfast down but lose all apetite for rat for the time being.
(Observation check:4!) You head up into the large room and begin inspecting it again and reminding yourself where you have been and where yet remains to explore. (See the Goblin's post for details, since you're exploring together.)
Recovery roll:4! Your leg feels better and you're able to move around somewhat more normally now.
Ajax-
(Action:4!) You unjam the door though it takes a bit of doing. You had wedged that piece of wood under there a little harder than you had thought.
(Observation check:5!) The day is clear and bright and you can see the sun just cresting over the eastern walls. It seems that there are a few pillars of smoke that you can see from here in that direction, despite the sun being in your eyes. That must be where the goblins are. If that's the case, they're quite far away, nearly a mile by your estimation, with much uneven terrain between you and them. It makes you feel a little better.
You're easily able to find a small pond and crunch your way through the thick grass over to it to fill your skins. Which, you now realize, are full. You drink your fill though, and it is very refreshing.
(Hunt:6!,3!) You quietly take a look around you and are able to spot several groups of creatures nearby. You take the time to be quiet and cautious and are able to select your prey. There are several waterfowl at a pond north of you, a smal trio of otters to your east and you think you see the slow-moving carapace of a snail-man to your south. (Take your pick, +1 to hunting roll for next turn)
+1 Stealth exp, +2 Observation exp.
Dwareet'ik-
You help the human uncover the door before settling in to rest some. You hear him with the goblin and offer to butcher the corpse but it seems that the over-exuberant goblin already hacked it to pieces. It seems he's destroyed the hide in the process. And between him and the human they've eaten the decent portions. (Of course the bones and skull are still there.)
You head back into the forge-hall to rest and eat your soup before settling into a meditative trance. (Meditation:4!) You take a little while but slip into restful meditation.
Recovery roll:2!+1(bandage)+1(resting) You are unaware of your body.
Dragnar-
(You are hungry and thirsty.) You decide it best to finish up the armor while you still have strength. (Armorcrafting:6!,1!) Having everything already laid out you are dead set to not repeat the same mistakes that you made last time. Things go well enough and you eventually are able to finish the chain shirt for the kobold. (Quality:69!(d100)+10 (crafting bonus)) The -small iron chain shirt- is now finished and ready.
You try again to look at the engravings on the other side and try and find a way over to examine them in more detail but you are unable to find a good way to do so.
(+1 Armor crafting exp)
Recovery roll:6!,3! Your leg is better now and your even feeling a little better after your workout despite being weak.
