The three of you settle in for the night. Everyone lays out their weapons near at hand and Reece decides to just wing it and eat his turtle raw before hitting the hay. It tastes somewhat bland and chewy, but otherwise not bad. (Raw meat is no problem in DF after all!) Dwareet'ik drinks the small bowl of blood and is licking his lips when the others look over at him. A small grin shows his reddish teeth and gives him an eerie look, and, not for the first time the human and dwarf wonder if they're wise to trust a kobold. But they are tired and soon head to sleep. (Night event:4!-1(location known)+1 (Watch kept))
Dwareet'ik amuses himself by carving bones. (Craft:1!) but despite all his grandiose visions he can't seem to get it right. By the time he's mangled his way through the turtle bones he figures his watch should be about done and he wakes the Dwarf who (Action:4!) grumpily stirs and takes over.
Soon it is the Dwarf who keeps an eye on the magma while examining the engravings. (Lore:6!,3!) You look over the images during your watch, occasionally glancing back at the forges, just to make sure. In your mind you're cataloguing things that might be important. You think you notice several of the carvings describe the creation of items of significance or power. Of all these one sticks out to you. It is the only engraving of a weapon or armor. In fact the engraving is fantastically detailed. Detailed enough for you to make things out fairly well. It appears the armor is called:
And you can almost make out in the image the details of the armor itself. If only you could get closer to the engraving on the far side of the wall you could examine it in depth. It looks like there might be several runes on it! That discovery alone is enough to keep you awak for the rest of your shift and you wake Reece. (Action:4!) The human wakes and rubs the sleep out of his eyes and takes over for you. (Rest:5!) The human makes himself comfortable against one wall facing the forges while the dwarf takes to slumber again and manages to get some decent rest himself despite not falling asleep. (+1 bonus to luck, no recovery roll penalty)
Gradually the others wake in the morning. (Dwareet'ik:Luck:1!) The kobold looks like he slept poorly and looks ill-rested still. (Tired kicks in at Turn 10 on Day 6. Partial carry-over from previous day) (Oh, and +2 to deity standing for pious actions and general devotion)
(Dragnar:Luck:5!+1, 6!) The dwarf slept so soundly it's almost like he slept the whole night through. He is well rested.
(Reece:Luck:4!+1) Reece too slept well enough to be fine.
Recovery rolls: Dwareet'ik:6!-1(sleep)+1(bandage),5! The kobold, despite his tossing and turning seems to be recovery quickly from his wounds. In fact, only his leg still troubles him, and even it is improved significantly.
Dragnar:3!-1 He seems to be little improved in the morning, except for being well rested. You are hungry and thirsty.
Reece:4! He feels somewhat better, though his arm remains in bad shape, at least the rest of him feels better. You are hungry.
