You don't normally show up inactive unless you're gone for 15 minutes. So it was a tad longer than a short break, but whatever. I'm on to turn ZERO!!

----------------
While Org and Cheeetar stroll off to plunder the surroundings, Nirur and Errol turn to their deities for help and guidance. Nal Ta is in a good mood today, but tells Nirur that he has not earned godly blessing yet, and cannot hope to receive something on a whim. Errol, on the other hand, receives a very definite and straightforward answer from Bal'Rogga: to gain skills with the help of a god, you have to... ASK. THE. GOD. Some good standing with the god in question will also help.
A short while later, Cheeetar returns, having found a small iron casket that is very thoughtfully locked. He could find no key, and the keyhole is rusty and clogged with dirt, anyway. Org appears soon after, hauling a pair of farming tools - a hoe, and a rake, both very rusty but not looking like falling apart just yet. He also says there's practically nothing left around this place, everything was taken. At least three carts left their trails in the ground, heading north.
------------
Background: [11]   The angry noises in the south don't sound like closing in just yet. The stretch of land to the south can clearly be seen, but there's nothing on it except grass and the occasional bush.

Environment:   Day. It's warm.

Free items:
In Tiny Hamlet:
Rusty Iron Hoe:   On the ground. Two-handed farming tool, also melee weapon. Deals blunt damage with +1L, or slash damage.

------------
Locations:
Tiny hamlet:   Seems to be named Boottrusses. Four wrecked houses, some broken fences, some trees, and lots and lots of grass here. A note is stuck to a pole saying that it was abandoned by the order of the Council of Lies due to a "Fiend of Assaults".

I'll train my agility by doing jumping jacks and climbing on the ruined houses. Not at the same time.

I perform a dark ritual (read: set fire to something) to please Bal'Rogga. I make sure to separate the ritual sacrifice from other lightable items as good as I can.

I'll try and work the lock open with my dagger, and if all else fails I'll just try to bash it open.

I don't want to play, I just felt like writing up a character for some reason.

I should point out that the buckler offers no additional protection, it just allows you to use the Shield Use skill, and doesn't take up a hand.

Turn 1

Spoiler: Actions (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)
----------------
Inspired by the kind words of his deity, Errol sets to building a small sacrificial altar. Some dry grass and a few wooden planks make passable firemaking material, so he puts it all next to the wall of a house, and starts working. Seeing this, Cheeetar decides to move to a safe distance, and then tries to inflict lethal stabbing damage on the lock of the casket in an attempt to get it to open. He manages to get the dirt out of the keyhole, but even with all the rust on it, the lock keeps the lid firmly closed.

Meanwhile, Org and Nirur decide to exercise a little and start climbing the various nearby constructions. But where Nirur almost falls, yet prevails, Org manages to fail spectacularly and land flat on his back. Having completed his round of training, Nirur helps the bruised Org to stand up and offers his help in resuming the exercise.

They are interrupted by rather disturbing laughter and the smell of smoke. They see Errol standing nearby, victoriously holding his arms raised to the heavens. A small fire burns merrily at the corner of the nearby house, and begins spreading. The wood burns hesitantly, but it's enough for Errol to rejoice and gaze at his deed with burning passion.

Background: [9]   There's still nothing of interest happening around. The fire slowly begins consuming the corner of the house.

Pray to Lady Bal'Rogga and hope that she rewards me with some magic. Or at least that she gives me some instructions.

Would it be too much to ask any future applicants to NOT choose Fire as their god's domain? I mean, it sure is great for killing and destruction, but try to be a bit more original!

I'm noticing that 3d6 tends to make average numbers fairly often. Which is, so far, exactly how I'd like it to be - high numbers should mostly happen with high bonuses.

I'll use the heat from the fire to screw around with the lock, expanding it and hopefully opening it or something. Combine this with plenty of smashing it against the ground and hopefully it shall open.
