I'd say 2, she isn't on your ring and unless you have plans for her there is no point in worrying about her dyeing. If you really want her for a specific hero quest or are thinking of replacing a ring member with her pick 1.

Ninjad: 3 always leads to a line of dialogue for me along the lines of: "[Name] lept into the foes and was never seen again." or something. Of course chances are if something good happens it will be really good. They probable get promoted to heroic combat or something.

Anyways, Fall came on, I had my hands tied with farming, and before you know it, Fall is over. We're gonna raid those damn Badgers in winter, damnit. We'll probably also explore northwest while we're at it.

A "Spirit Fetch" refuels our magic, apparently. Could be useful. Gotta love that trickster.

Spirit fetches are good-when we expend magic it gets returned us, so we can conduct more divination and battle magic. Buy all we can.

Then we need to toss a few cows to the Gods for healing our wounded, so we're ready for retaliation.

As they say, blood for blood and by the gallon.

If we do this they restore our magic for free. (Although I think you lose a little food)

Also have you considered doing the Orlanth and Aroka heroquest? IIRC If you pick a treasure and get the bag with orlanthi runes it helps drive off raiders.

I usually don't do heroquests until after I've gotten a good number of soldiers. I'll do one next year, during fall, most likely.

I heroquest as much as possible, I just cant resist the benefits. It's normally a good idea to shop around a bit first and see if someone will sell you a treasure that helps you complete them.Orlanth and Akora has a choice of 5 juicy treasures, Ernalda feeds the tribe is another good one as it gives you one guaranteed successful sacrifice to Ernalda per year, this essentially means for a single good/cow you can pick a blessing for the year.
