hello there everyone, i have a human guild rep thats been hanging around my fort and moving around at a snail's pace, i had a look at him to figure out why when i noticed he's made out of granite 

in addition to all his cloths (which every thing shows normally) his inventory lists a full set of granite body parts, i'm not adept at reading the inventory yet so is he made out of granite or carrying granite body parts? is there a way to fix this? has this happened to anyone else before?

 I don't think those are body parts, because body parts are supposed to show up in the wounds section and not the inventory section. Still, I've never seen anything like that. The best guess I can make is that he somehow picked up various body parts made of granite. Still, that should not happen in vanilla.

yes i have done some modding but only really basic stuff i believe, made it so cats can grab things and some changes to the dwarves. none of this should affect humans.

Actually, it looks more like he's wearing several chunks of granite. Exactly why is anybody's guess.

This might deserve a post in bugs.  Be specific and detailed as to exactly what you modified and how, so that much is clear and up front.

well i modded Df a long time ago and only recently revisited it so i dont know exactly what changes i made

Yeah, I'd bet there's some funny tag floating around that gave granite the ability to be worn or something. Swap out your current raws with a fresh set or a new download of DF, just to be sure.

In the meantime, you can dump all that granite of the liaison.
