Python is great.
But don't use PyGame for anything other than 2D games.

Lua is a good scripting language, supported by a lot of basic stuff. It gives some modest power when combined with a lot of client. And it's probably one of the easiest languages to start off with... depends on how serious you are about learning a new language. If you just want something that lets you do stuff, Lua is a good one.

It's almost as much of a joke as lolcode!
(Except BF was created to have the smalest compiler. Less than 256 bytes, then shrunk to about 200)

C# really took a step in the wrong direction, IMO. I was a systems engineering major for a while and the university I was at refused to upgrade too. I don't really know many people who actually like C#.
