Gentlemen, http://www.reactos.org/en/index.html

But, if they are making it exactly like Windows, whats the point in switching?

Fixing the problems and adding new features?
Not that many problems with XP, other than what virus writers and bad programmers make. Even then every OS out there have the same weakness.

I'm using Vista right now and I've never had a BSOD.  It's fast, easy to use, everything on it works.  I'm amazed Windows hasn't sued Mac for libel with those commercials.

My XP has had BSODs, but that's because I've had it forever and I haven't always been smart enough to use it properly.  When it did BSOD, if I didn't know the exact cause I could find it in about thirty seconds on Google, and it was inevitably something stupid I did or something a program did, not Windows itself.

95% of windows errors are PEBCAK.

Not having to pay for the next version because they will likely integrate the tech over time without requiring you to pay for it.  Also, if it's done right, you should be able to run Windows apps AND Linux apps so you essentially get the best of both worlds.

And given that someone above tried to nullify my points by stating lack of applications (which I also mentioned) ReactOS would nullify theirs.

When and if they accomplish such a task.

Operating system fandom has never made sense to me. It's like arguing over whether Coke or Pepsi is 'better'.

Coke is where it's at, Cherry Coke too.  I wouldn't touch Pepsi if it was the only thing available to drink. ;)

I'd find water somewhere, even if it gave me diarrhea.  :D

Coke is better than Pepsi.  Pepsi is too sweet.

The hierarchy of soft drinks is as follows:

Coke>Dr. Pepper>Grape Soda>Root beer>Mt. Dew>Orange Soda>Pepsi>Jones

Coke is decent cola, but that doesn't change the fact that cola is basically carbonated water loaded down with enough sugar and phosphoric acid to kill and then dissolve a yak.

I like good ginger ale, and there's this one company selling orange soda around here (Boylan's, I think) that actually uses citrus oils and stuff in the soda, so it tastes like goddamn tangerines and that is wonderful.

Coke is better than Pepsi.  Pepsi is too sweet.

The hierarchy of drinks is as follows:

Mr. Pibb>Pineapple water>Kool Aid>Lemonade>Arizona Green Tea>Monster>Mellow Yellow>Tap water>horse blood>Dandelion Wine>Every other drink

Fixed that for you.

Now, this is QUITE the derail. From OS's -> Soft drinks within the span of 1 page.
